Why do we need child support? It’s just more unconstitutional redistribution of wealth enforced by the state. If a woman wants a man to support her and her children, we already have a system for that (or rather we had). It was called “marriage”, and it was constitutional and enforceable, and even better, it worked!
But no, we’d rather have the new, progressive system of child support to replace marriage. That’s really working out great for us.
I think we should acknowledge the ones “we” have already made dependent. I agree with the policy you state, but only for future applicants. need to announce the new program and then hold everyone who has a kid thereafter accountable.
You and I both know that the value of individual accountability and responsibility is now a minority belief in the US.
