You just smoked your first legal bone, didn’t ya?
No secession? No civil war? Cool. I’m just gonna ask my boss for a demotion. Get me outta the tax bracket that’s about to get reamed. If I can’t get out of that, I’m going John Galt.

Consider the insights of Machiavelli
Men sooner forget the death of their father than the loss of their patrimony.
We are in deep trouble

Another useless vanity. Too bad there isn’t a rule that you have to be a member here 5 years before vanity rights. Geez!!!!!!
Problem is, the bad guys have a prohibitive advantage in firepower, plus air supremacy.
There are ways to secede without seceding.
TV is off. No movies to see. No shopping is planned.
Removing myself from the culture. Paring down expenses. Planning a very simple, more meaningful Christmas.
By the end of Obama’s 2nd term, we will have $20-25 TRILLION in debt, not including Social Security/Medicare obligations (approx $100 TRILLION). Tell me how we recover from this? Not possible...not enough wealth to cover what we owe. The US will collapse fiscally, just like Greece. It’s a done deal.
Look at what’s happening right this very moment in NY/NJ...not enough resources to take care of everyone with their hands out. Now extrapolate that over the entire country. Not a pretty picture, but it is an accurate preview of what IS COMING.
Tell me how this won’t devolve quickly into secessionism and ultimately civil unrest and yes violence? CWII will be fought along the same lines as CWI—slavery. Those of us value liberty, self reliance, and individualism are not going to stand by and be slaves to those who believe they are entitled to live off the fruits of the labor of others. The two beliefs simply cannot coexist.
I want to be optimistic and believe that we still have time to turn this around. Regardless of that, we ARE in for a great deal of pain. I don’t see how the US survives the entitlement class in its’ present form. Whatever the case, you are a fool if you don’t believe things can get really bad, and prepare accordingly.
” The red states should consider secession”
If we took out all RED COUNTIES we would have more. Looking at an election map, county by county, it showed a huge nation with blue dots where the Dems control The West coast, Chicago,NYC, NJ, Fla coast line. Wall them “out” and we would still have most of the nation.
He's been wetting himself with glee that pro-pot and homosexual marriage laws were passed.
Not right now. But soon.....

Go back to your hole, idiot.
Bashar al-Assad thought the same way a year and a half ago. He’s got his hands full now, doesn’t he?
Just because you don’t have any balls does not mean no one els has any.
It will start economically. Currency will inflate. People will move towards barter systems (already started). This will cut into the tax revenues, which will be met by higher taxes, which will cause more people to barter.
Somewhere along the way a state (my money is on Texas) will issue a “currency” to curtail barter and raise revenue. Since this currency will not be inflationary, it will be popular and other states will follow with their currencies and, eventually, form an economic alliance to facilitate trade and currency exchange.
The Feds will not stand for this and will pass laws against it. Those laws will be ignored. What Federal funds may have still been coming will be cut off. In retaliation, the renegade states will start taking Federal land for oil, lumber, etc. The Feds will send troops to secure “their” land and the shooting will start.
There will be no “Declaration of Independence” by these states - they will think of themselves as the true America - and bit by bit the centralized Federal government will be dismantled until we find ourselves with a country much closer to the Founders vision - a country of individual states working together only when it is mutually beneficial.
[ Talk about secession all you like, but there isn’t going to be a Civil War. ]
Ok OK we’ll just call it a Gorilla Action.. Uprising.. Unrest.. like that..
It worked pretty well for Vo Nguyen Giap in Vietnam..
And MAo in China.. were all pretty successful..
BUT be advised pissed off Americans are far more educated and creative than 3rd world Vietnamese farmers.. and capable of much more mayhem.. I’m not against using the term “The Wolverine Party”...
Joey I suggest getting more creative, get out of your box..
Obviously voting DOES NOT WORK.. very quickly this will dawn like an epiphany to many..
When it DOES... other options will display themselves.. NATURALLY..
The democrats massive voter fraud just may be americas water in the face or FACE SLAPP..
Which will make obvious “what needs to be done”..
AND VOTING is not “IT”...
Wise up grasshopper...
Well, until individual nuts who can’t take it anymore start shooting federal parasites and Obama voters.
Then comes the absurd crackdown.
THEN comes the revolution.
Thanks for letting us all know that you're in your own group.
Why was this stupid vanity posted?
The history of catastrophic national change reminds us that at some point there is a cusp, and after that it happens very, very quickly. In 1984, Reagan released one of the most effective foreign policy political commercials of all time "There's a Bear in the Woods." No American would have predicted then nearly five years to the day after his reelection, the Berlin Wall would crumble, and within just a few more years, the Soviet Union.
The European House of cards is about to come crashing down. The debt crisis and slowing growth that very few people know about in China has the potential to have catastrophic impact in Asia. If Israel needs to resort to nuclear weapons to destroy Iran's program, or if Iran achieves a nuclear weapon, there is no good economic scenario for the West. None of this touches on our own debt issues, nor on the unemployment picture which is about to head drastically North. The Q4 survey of employers says that they nearly ALL intend to lay people off, virtually no one plans new hiring. That was true before yesterday. It will be more true tomorrow.
The point is: your idiotic "prediction" is predicated on a belief in stability that can vanish literally overnight, and a country as nearly equally and bitterly divided as ours may not be able to weather that storm.
You appear to be unaware that the map is already largely drawn along lines of conflict. This election was decided in a handful of "border states" where about 350,000 total votes would have completely changed the electoral college. In most of the other states, one way or the other, the Presidential contest was not competitive. That is not a recipe for national success or continued unity.
And if, as now seems very likely, 0bama decides to make large changes on the basis of nothing that even remotely resembles a mandate through executive orders, the fractures will only grow. Four years is a very long time. Making idiotic predictions in order to wave the bloody shirt in the face of your political adversaries may be satisfying to you, but it is foolish, even for a manifest charter-member of the 10%.
IBTZ.
With the support of radical groups such as MEChA, California elects a militant Chicano activist to the state house. Meanwhile, Arizona and Nevada also have elected militant activist Mexican-American governors, as has New Mexico, and Mexican-Americans dominate their legislatures. Soon California, Arizona and New Mexico announce that they are seceding to form a new Spanish-speaking country that will be called Aztlán.
A provisional government is formed in Los Angeles and announces that it is taking over all federal facilities, including military bases. It demands that all US government officials and military personnel depart from the territory of the new nation-state.
The United Nations General Assembly votes overwhelmingly to recognize the new nation and support its demands. Cuba and Venezuela immediately grant Aztlán diplomatic recognition, followed by nearly all Latin American countries. Cuba and Venezuela offer military support, Mexico announces that volunteers are heading north to defend the new nation, while Russia and China caution Washington against doing anything "rash."
Who is saying four years? These things take time to build momentum. Do you honestly think we can undo the nanny state and heavy regulations through the ballot box? Do you think a country as politically polarized as ours can hold? A split is inevitable, I just hope it’s a peaceful one.
