Assuming all votes would trade out. Could be Obama or non votes.

Maybe if the GOP hadn’t kicked it’s libertarian brothers in the teeth on a consistent basis, we could have won this thing, even with rat voter fraud.

Ok, I am not happy with Johnson. BUT!!! It brings an interesting question to light. If Romney and the E had not shunned their base would Johnson or Goode even have been factors? Time to turn out the light on the Republican Party, it’s over.

What makes you think those people were choosing and alternative to Romney? Maybe they chose an alternative to Obama, Foo'!

In any case if you think they should be in the "R" column what have you done to enlist libertarians into the "R" party? Doesn't seem like you're off to a good start!

Doesn’t matter. Obama would’ve won without them.

This isn’t about Johnson. Or Romney. Or even Obama. The problem is the voters.

Egg on Ann face. She was against Palin. Mitt kept Palin in Alaska. We have seen Moderates can’t win.
No more Christie crap or anyone from liberal state. Mitt and Ryan failed to carry their own state, what a shame??
Same happened with Al Gore.

Got to hand it to the GOP. They can alway find someone to help screw themselves out of a win.

John Kasich and Senate bill 5 seriously undermined Mitt Romney in Ohio. When we saw the way Ohio voters rebuked Kasich and his legislative agenda in 2011, the writing was on the wall.

Liberaltarians showed what they were when they promoted that nutcase Paul. Paul in turn undermined and attacked conservatism and conservatives.

I second this statement. I find Johnson an intolerable attention-whore, but I feel we would have lost anyway.

The difference between Obama and Romney's totals in FL is over 53,000. If every vote for Johnson went to Romney he still would have lost.

The difference in Ohio is 85,000. Johnson only got 47, 592. It makes no difference.

Romney would have lost even if Gary Johnson didn’t exist.

Our voting is crooked as L, not all that voted for Gary would have voted for Romney.

Our elections are a joke.

Virginia too was lost with 3rd party types in the margin.

This was a very close race 49/49 in the popular vote.

A slight shift made all the difference, likely Sandy helped Obama gain a few percent at the end.

We are our own worse enemy....we did not want Gingrich...too grumpy; we did not want Perry....too dumb....we did not want Palin....too conservative. So, we settled for Romney. Romney is a good person and I believe he did as well as he could do. But, when the chips were down, we needed a brawler.
