Funny. Now I remember my parents telling me about the Agnew Laughing ad. Had totally forgotten. Actually it was pretty good.
Sprio Agnew may have had a funny sounding name, but he was certainly correct concerning the, “Nattering nabobs of negativism.”.

They say the pun is the lowest form of humor, but I contend trying to make fun of someone’s name is much lower. This may be because I greatly enjoy puns. :)
Well, some puns.
When I meet someone with an unusual name or one that is easily punned on, I often have to remind myself that I’m pretty darn unlikely to come up with a take on the name they haven’t heard 100 times.
If I recall correctly, it is the strategy of the Obama campaign.
