Has there been some change to Free Republic that I am not aware? Is everyone subject to these new rules?
All of my post are now "subject to review." Is this a new feature for all posts or just mine?
I notice I am not allowed to send mail. The message is my account is too "new" for this feature.
I have been a member since August 29, 2010. I have posted 514 articles. I have made 390 comments. I have used the private mail since the day I started here.
So. The question is: Is this new to everyone or am I under some kind of double secret probation? If so, can you at least tell me why?
It happened to me once when I posted an article about Larry Sinclair. Apparently it offended someone. Just be a good boy and they will eventally take your name off the naughty list.
You may be, but more than likely you did not buy the secret 0 bummer / state run media BS decoder ring last quarter.
The one thing that cracks me up more than a thread such as this one (that one sees every couple months), is the tears that flow in the comments afterward.

I’m embarrassed... I’m an ex sailor, PLUS I have done postgraduate work in the area of “creative profanity synthesis”, and I have NO F... er, EARTHLY IDEA what the Y-word is.
Keep wondering when I’ll be not-too-new enough to get off probation. Annoying. Was a FReeper a loooong time ago (many years) but dropped of due to life busy-ness. Had to make a new account since I couldn’t remember my old handle or password, and had a new email account, etc. I don’t remember it taking this long to get un-probationed last time. As far as I know, I haven’t posted anything at all even remotely close to wrong so far. It’s frustrating because topics fall off the front page much faster than the admins get around to reviewing and posting my posts, so I feel as though my contributions are worthless by the time they see the light of day. But I keep posting anyway just in case, and because I’m afraid that if I don’t post enough useless posts just because, then I’ll *never* get off probation. *sigh*
well i just sent a freepmail to snuph.
asking snuph to freepmail the admin when freepmail is not possible for the snuph account, really is an oxymoron

I’m thinking you better be FReepmailing the mod or Jim. I’ve never been on probation, even when I was new so you should find out what’s up.
Your posts are being reviewed because you have pages of pulled articles. You post from sites that are not welcome at FR and you do that by omitting the links. You post from authors who are not welcome on FR.
You seem to think that quantity and not quality is what counts here. You’re wrong.

If it’s a bandwidth-limiting move, it’s a big FAIL, judging by the number of replies in a short period. :-)
I checked your about page, it looks suspicious to me.
Is there a page listing authors or sites not acceptable on FR so I don’t make the same mistake?

The same thing is happening to me. I changed my contact email address and since then my posts are being reviewed.
