Angela appears to be a “sacrificial lamb”-type candidate; she is running in a district where the GOP candidate, veteran Congressman John Shimkus, is a shoo-in. No establishment Democrat showed up to run, so she filed for and obtained the ‘Rat nomination.
As a legally qualified candidate for a federal office, she is entitled by statute (47 USC 312(a)(7) and 47 USC 315) to purchase ads on radio and TV stations within 60 days of the general election at the lowest unit rate, and the radio and TV stations are obligated to carry her ads under pain of losing their licenses should they refuse. These stations cannot censor her message.
Therefore, she can run really tough pro-life ads and attack baby killers such as Obama and McCaskill, and there is nothing the radio or TV stations can do to stop her so long as she pays for the advertising.
