Hope I didnt interrupt anyones surfingJust imagine all those people in Mountain and Pacific time that you pissed off.
Yea, sure it may be bedtime for you, but it's only 8:00 in California.
Now that you shut down the internet, they are all forced to either watch television or talk to their family member for a change.

I love it, especially the gif on downloading all the information on the internet. Thanks.
Estimated time left for download; 4,381 years, and then an insufficient memory warning....ROTFLMAO,,, :>)

How would one stick that on someone else’s desktop so that’s ALL they see....w/o messing up the whole enchilada?

You do mean just the animated downloading gif right? Not the whole end of the internet information right?
If so, then I am thinking you will need to Left click on the image and save it to your file.
It will be saved as a gif. (animated image)
Then I believe you will have to open it up as your desktop image.
I imagine it should still work, but I am not sure.
Unless the desktop image program only allows a jpg image.
I will try it on my computer and see if it works.
Check back frequently as I try it out.

It’s not MY computer who I want to stick it on...and said computer has a LOT of desktop shortcuts on it.
I’m leaning towards I shouldn’t do this.........

Well it seems like the desktop image will only allow a jpg image. You can use a gif, but it will not animate. So what you get is a still image of the gif as a picture only.

OK, I put back my original desk top image. It's a photo taken of me and my wife getting baptized.

If you saved a hardcopy before you shut it down, would you mind sharing it with me?Alas, I dropped it and it shattered into a trillion bytes!
To: rarestia
No, this is not satire. This is the real off-button for the internet. IF YOU PRESS IT, YOU WILL SHUT DOWN EVERYTHING, so do not press it.

In your cmos setup routine there is a “startup on com 1 ring” setting that can turn your computer back on if enabled.

I believe that you ment BITS and not BYTES since each BYTE which represents one character (letter, digit, or binary number) consists of 8 BITS to form the character plus 1 or more additional PARITY BIT(s) to help protect the individual BYTE from corruption.

It wasn’t that it was hard; it was that it was very brittle.
To: dglang
Ok, 8 trillion bits then. Thanks!
To: TheOldLady
I’m always glad to help.
Actually it would be 64,000.000,000,000 bits if using one parity bit.
