10.21.2012 | Me

Woke up this morning to find my Romney/Ryan yard sign stolen from my front yard. Checked on a house a few blocks down and theirs was gone too. Happened between midnight and 6 AM.

review of ghost pepper sauce from Amazon:

“It claimed a heat rating of “Insanity++.” I headed home thinking surely the worst must be over. I’ve ate plenty of hot food and my stomach is battle tested. I was wrong.

I walked no more than a block before I started to feel odd. It was in the forties in Cleveland but I could feel the sweat forming on my brow. I walked another block and I could literally feel the burning sensation outlining my stomach. My breaths were noticeably faster and shorter. People on the street looked at me weird. I figured it would go away by the time I got home but I decided to pick up the pace. By the time my apartment was in sight I was experiencing tunnel vision and it felt like a live agitated weasel had been placed inside me.”

One word: Highvoltage.

Then you can go and shoot the swine while it’s still burning.

I’d advocate rubbing the sign(s) with Giant Hogweed plant but according to the Wiki on it...

The sap of giant hogweed causes phytophotodermatitis in humans, resulting in blisters, long-lasting scars, and—if it comes in contact with eyes—blindness. These serious reactions are due to the furocoumarin derivatives in the leaves, roots, stems, flowers, and seeds of the plant.

If you see it growing in your area call your local government so they can remove it.

Several elections back I had a Bush sign stolen and two Kerry signs in it’s place.

I live in central eastern WA state (TriCities). My Romney/Ryan sign was also stolen a few weeks back.

Be sure to prime the sprinkler with India ink!

A paintball "land mine" would be just the ticket - and indelible ink is a payload option.

Didn’t do them much good. I actually have seen very few signs of any kind around me.

I’ve been advocating rubbing signs with Poison Ivy/Oak/Sumac, since 2008. That’s how I found out my neighbor’s kid was the culprit. He was covered in Calamine Lotion.

Most of my clients are in Guilford and Rockingham counties NC so as I travel around I do sign surveys. This morning we were traveling through Caswell county via the scenic route returning from a Cub Scout campout. I noticed that the yards with Romney/Ryan signs were the well kept homes (even if they were tiny or old) and the places with weedy yards, falling sheds and junk had the Obama signs.

I also noticed the Obama signs at road intersections other public places. A trend I noticed in both Guilford and Rockingham counties was even more pronounced in Casewell, i.e., Romney/Ryan signs on and in front of small businesses.

I’m in the western burbs of Minneapolis. I would go out and steal me a hussein sign but I haven’t seen a single one. Last time they were everywhere.

I like the idea of putting out an empty chair like another poster suggested.

I picked one up yesterday from the local Repub Party HQ---two rally cards and a sticker, for which I paid 5 dollars, AND the yard sign, which is 5 dollars. However, I had only $5, so the guy said to take the yard sign and come and pay him back this coming week (just not on Monday evening, because they'll be closed for the debate).

Then he said he knew I wouldn't rip him off, because I am not a democrat.

Ours is still in the yard, wonder how long it will last.

Mine too the other night. I live in Orange County, California and like yours was stolen during the night. We made up a sign and put it up. I think the home made sign gets more attention.

Clear tanglefoot insect trap coating. They get it on their hands, they’ll at the least ruin a set of clothes, if not the interior of their car.

A battery powered electric fence charger from the local farm supply store should do the trick.

Having had family members run a dairy farm, I’ve been zapped by one (once); its no fun.

No mention of the Giant Hogweed can go unpunished.
