Woke up this morning to find my Romney/Ryan yard sign stolen from my front yard. Checked on a house a few blocks down and theirs was gone too. Happened between midnight and 6 AM.
Be sure to prime the sprinkler with India ink!

There are quite a few Romney/Ryan yard signs in a famous wealthy nearby (SF Bay Area) suburb, but said suburb has an EXCELLENT police force.

Go to Harbor Freight and buy the wireless driveway alarm. It works Great. It is infrared and will cover a lot of area. Any movement and it sets off the receiver which you keep in your house.

My experiment today was to take a section of my deep-blue general neighborhood, subtract the threat of violent crime (very secure area + great police force) and saw many more Romney/Ryan yard signs (in fact these were the first yard signs for R+R I've seen, ever). This is like using one of those children's coloring books with "invisible ink" pictures that appear only after you've painted over them with water. Remove the threat of theft and vandalism, and see the Romney/Ryan supporters made visible.

anybody else notice the following phenomenon we’re seeing?
the 0bama signs we’re seeing are usually posted in general areas where you can’t tell if they’re on a specific property or not ... can’t tell if the property owner placed the sign or if the sign was put there to ‘occupy’ the location ... it’s as if the people placing those signs either aren’t proud of their support for 0bama or are trying to squat the 0bama signs on someone elses property
all the RR signs we’re seeing are close to the mail box or in the middle of the front yard easily associated with the house
just wondering if others are seeing this pattern
It’s funny, I live in very blue Montgomery County MD. I’ve had a Romney yard sign up for two weeks and nobody has bothered it. I also have a Romney sticker on my car and so far nobody has bothered my car either. Got two signs just in case.
I do know that a lot of the liberal parents around here won’t let their children trick or treat here because we are Republicans. I’m actually quite happy about that.
Cut a Scotch bonnet or another real hot pepper, cut it in half and smear it all over the sign, especially the edges.
Or the sprinkler system on a motion detector with permanent dye in the hoses.
