What is everyone hearing around the office regarding the election? I mean, particularly among liberals and independents. We all obviously know what conservatives are saying.
At my office, I've noticed the liberals are very quiet (except when whispering among themselves), and the independents hate Obama.
I work in a call center and the majority of my coworkers voted for “hope and change” in 2008. I haven’t seen the bumper stickers or t-shirts this time around. The silence has been golden! We are currently signing up for medical benefits, which have increased around 4% due to the Affordable Care Act!
I misread the headline-—thought it said “What are you wearing around the office?”
I was about to yell, “Whee! A fashion thread!”
We fight cafeteria Catholics all the time. We don’t have time for folks like Romney who give them succour by forcing the faithful to assist the unfaithful in their actions.
No I'm not. :=)
I work independently now that I've retired. I have a "Romney / Ryan - America's Comeback Team" bumper sticker prominently displayed on my computer. At the coffee shops where I do most of my work, I've gotten several positive comments and no negative ones.
There's also a noticeable absence of Obama 2012 bumper stickers compared to 2008. Being in the very, very blue south SF Bay Area, it seemed like every other car had an Obama sticker last time around. I've only seen a few this year.
But - living in the middle of LA-LA land, I hear lots of conversations from liberals in markets, restaurants, and various other high-traffic businesses.
Bottom line - a good many democrats are not very bright, as you can immediately tell as soon as they open their mouth. Those that do are mostly still in love with the Zero.
On the other hand, many are quite angry at the big O - and make quiet snide remarks about wanting him gone, like 'I'm not gonna vote for that bastard this time.'
Office?
What’s that?
:::snicker:::
I’d love to have Joe as VP again, without Obama. Joe is endless entertainment.
Most days I can’t remember who is running with Ryan.
Excellent those independent voters and liberals that are demoralized will not vote. And those that tell their friends they wont vote, those friends will not either.
I’m retired but my wife works in an office with many blacks, so she does not discuss politics. Behind her back they call her Nancy Reagan. Nice, huh? (Little do they know that she adores Nancy Reagan).
People in my Yacht Club are 90% Romney - in 2008 it was about 50/50, with some wearing Obo T shirts. None now.
My brother who voted for Obo in 2008 is going for Romney.
A few months back they were told that if zero was elected and obizmal care was not repealed, they would all have to take pay cuts or worse, lose their job, as there would not be enough money coming in from our clients to pay for what this administration wants us to do...we serve clients who are all going to be going through the same ordeal we are.
The fact that politics are not discussed in the hallways is a very good thing...IMHO. These folks want their jobs.
Will not say anything. Must keep my mouth shut...:)
Sounds like a lot of people watched the ball game instead (hosers).
Huh?
I take that as a positive omen. It's tough to admit when your hero has feet of clay, but she obviously figured it out.
What kind of outfit do you think this is??
thanks for sharing that small victory!
5 women in my office. All romney voters. My wife and i have hinted to them also. They understand what is at stake. Subtle change - waiting room used to have nbc on. We have changed it to fox news. In 4 weeks, only one person has asked to change channel.
From my one sample there seems to be no overwhelming enthusiasm for Obama this time around.
My office is a lynch mob for Obozo and Democrats for the most part.
