Murphy's been crowing about creating jobs at CT's Electric Boat facility, and now, just like the DNC saluting our Navy with Pics of a Russian Fleet, Murphy's run a clip of a sub, except it's Norwegian, and it's not US built.

Sounds like a Dukakis in a tank moment for Murphy.

Chris Murphy confirmed that the sub in the upcoming ad was in fact manufatured in the U.S.

Heck the DNC used Russian ships so at least they are consistent.

This would be funny, if the two characters running weren’t so sad.

It is strange and disturbing that Democrats seem completely incapable of finding any photographic evidence that the US owns military assets.
Need a picture of a submarine? Well ... I think Norway has some of those.
Need a picture of some surface ships? Hmmmm ... Russia's got some.
Need a picture of some fighter jets? Hey! Turkey has some good ones!
Doing some speechifying and need an example of the type of small arms our soldiers carry into battle? May I suggest the AK-47?
Really, really weird.

Anybody with even a minimal knowledge of military hardware would immediately see that this was not a US submarine.

The US has not built a diesel submarine in decades, which means US subs are designed to cruise underwater, not on the surface. Therefore, no US submarines have an angled bow. Rather, the deck slopes off gradually to a bow that is pointed at the tip of the boat. It has been that way for the past thirty years, at least.
Also, this thing looks like a bathtub toy compared to the much larger US nuclear powered subs.

I’m working for a candidate for a CT State Rep seat. The candidate is a retired submarine officer and most of us on the campaign committee are military connected. Our first post card draft from the design company included a photo of a Russian submarine. Fortunately we were paying attention.
