As I watched the altitude barometric pressure was dropping precipitously. The pressure from the capsule and balloon would have been expanding to compensate. One heck of an event to watch.
I think this record will be broken in a few years. How?
Have the skydiver jump out of the Virgin Galactic spaceplane on one of its sub-orbital flights.
Imagine jumping out at 330K+ feet and sky diving all the way down!

I suppose they recovered the capsule, and the balloon must just eventually collapse and drift back to earth. I bet someone finds it.
The capsule released the balloon and a parachute was deployed.
