Those are really bad designs to begin with. I doubt that any kids (or their parents) would even know what they represent. I’d keep my kids away from any house with those designs for fear that were from Satan...wait a minute, they ARE.
Well you know April, you're wrong. I'm not thinking about any of that at all, and actually I'm guessing that most of the people reading your blog aren't either.
The genuine enviro-nuts amongst them will already be wearing their hair-shirts and generating all of their energy from the tears of squirrels or whatever. They won't need any more tips.
The typical enviromentalists amongst them, by far the largest number, are not interested in saving energy personally. Goodness gracious no! They know that it is the greedy corporations and ignorant rubes out in flyover country who waste all the energy and cause the planet to warm up. Rules on saving don't apply to the enlightened disciples of Al Gore, who personally uses more energy in a day than the average citizen of planet earth uses in a lifetime. Anyway, they pay their dues with carbon credits.
Finally, the few "real" concerned people who make it to your blog will find they have already instituted all of the serious efficiency savings because they are smart and alert enough to watch their wallets. I'm no radical green, but when in an idle moment I did one of these "carbon footprint" surveys I found mine was only a third of the national average. Such is the power of genuine self-interest!
Actually it is a great idea. Also be sure to include Sally and Linus waiting for the green energy Great Pumpkin(tm) to save our economy and energy needs while we all get fitted for our worker’s paradise overalls.
