Tim Tebow just pointed out a very devilish fact ... tonight's NFL matchup is the 666th Monday Night Football game ... and it just so happens, Tim's team is playing in the game.
As the NY Jets prepare for battle with the Houston Texans ... Tebow just tweeted, "Looking forward to giving God all the glory in tonight's 666th Monday Night Football game. Romans 8:37-39."
Before you head to Google, here's the bible quote Tim referenced:
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, [a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
We called The Devil for comment ... but he was too busy preparing for TMZ Live.

It’s a cruel joke for the NFL to schedule Tim’s Jets to play in the 666th MNF game. But, as usual Tim turns the table on the sinister secular MSM.
Expect Tim to finally be freed from his damnation of being a second string QB in the most decadant city in the NFL and start the game.
He will show them his talent as the greatest QB in NFL history by throwing for 667 yards and throwing for 6 touchdowns against the Texans.
He might have a better starting record in Denver than the other guy starting there now.
I love Tim Tebow and pray that he does succeed as he is such a wonderful example. But tonight belongs to we Texans - that would be Houston, not Dallas!
Oh, good gravy!!!
Ha! Would love to see Tebow throw for a bunch, win a lot, and finally rid the NFL of making us think Sanchez is any good. Sanchez and Matt Leinhert have failed miserably so far as USC stud QB’s. They did get some nice looking chicks I bet out of the starting QB thing but that’s about it.
Will Arian Foster score 2 TDs to preserve my undefeated fantasy football record?
I doubt anybody even realized it was, especially given how many “special presentation” non-Monday MNF games they have, I wonder if it’s even really the 666th.
So far this season he only has one pass attempt, I don’t think he’s even had 6 plays in one game. And even if they put him in, the rest of the team stinks. He’ll have nobody to throw to, no running game to relieve pass pressure, and the defense will keep him on the sideline for 40 minutes. The Jets are bad.
May I please have a taste of what you are smoking?
NYC more decadent than New Orleans? Ha!
God didn’t send Katrina to NYC, after all.
But careful, there are freepers who might think you are serious.
I have a feeling that his tweet will be picked up by the liberal media as an occasion to engage in cheap snide bigotry against fundamentalist Christians, completely missing the very real probability that the guy has a sense of humor and was making something that used to be called a “joke”. God forbid.
Yup I knew the number was bogus:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monday_Night_Football
“After 43 years, there now have been a total of 730 games televised by the Monday Night Football franchise.”
I suppose there’s a slim chance it’s the 666th time it’s on Monday, but even that seem unlikely. Probably somebody just made it up.
Well done sir.
This thing smelled like one of those bogus emails that always floats around.
Congrats on being a FR truth detector!
It's really not that difficult for any guy to get some "nice looking chicks".
Are you missing a </sarcasm> tag on your post?
They only played 14 games a season between 1970, when MNF started, and 1978 when they started playing 16 games.
I only count 661 games.
"As of September 10, 2012, the Monday Night Football franchise had aired a total of 661 games."
So depending on if that “as of” is before or after the double header aired on Sept 10th. If it’s after this would be 665, if it’s before this is 667. And of course further down they say we’re at 730. One way or the other the math don’t work. 666 is next week, last week, or years ago. And really even if it was tonight do we really think the league had nothing better to do with scheduling than stick Tebow on the 666th, really. Having Drew Brees break the consecutive TDs streak on prime time sure, there’s good rating for that, Tebowing the 666th isn’t going to draw any extra fans.
The Jets certainly need to pick one or the other and stick with him for a few games. This back and forth thing they are doing makes no sense - it should have been sorted out in camp.
Then there’s pre-season monday night. Then there’s the season opener that on Thursday that used to be on ABC and was credited as MNF on Thursday. And they used to show playoffs which were MNF on Saturday. And the last few years the opening is a double header. Yeah, this math gets hairy fast.
