Why weren’t more Kampus Kops called to the scene to subdue this young man whose parents had just entrusted to the University of Alabama? This is a disgrace! He was a freshman who just started there and obviously got liquored up beyond what he could handle
“Acting erratically and wearing no clothes” pretty much sums up my college experience... And worse. Any university or college officer knows that his/her first job is to protect and defend the students and the institution. If you don’t know what I’m talking about (and I do know what I am talking about,) you don’t know what you’re talking about.

There was a time when shooting an unarmed man was regarded in a very bad light. I note the officer has the standard line down pat. Did it never occur to him, to summon other officers and subdue this man? Nope. Blam, blam. I felt my life was threatened.

Way back in my college days in the late 60’s campus police were unheard of. But then Bill Ayers and company decided that violent demonstrations on campus was neato/keeno and suddenly campus police started to spring up all across the nation. By the time I graduated in 71 all the big schools had campus/rent-a-thugs inplaced.

These kids, raised on unrealistic violent movies, and filled with bipartisan, politically neutral (Kumbaya, comrades!) contempt for authority, and especially police force (as wello illustrated on this very forum) don’t know the first lesson of dealing with the forces of law on the street: don’t challenge them.
