Paul Ryan has figured out a way of letting the birthers down gently.
Like many of his fellow congressmen, Ryan has been bombarded for years with letters from conspiracy theorists who believe President Obama was somehow secretly born in Kenya and so is ineligible to be president. The missives began even before Ryan became one of the presidents biggest foes on budget issues and more recently as he joined the GOP ticket alongside MItt Romney.
But unlike some in his party who have been embarrassed by their own clunky and awkward responses to the birthers, Ryan has come up with an easy solution to deal with them.
He simply sends them a copy of the presidents birth certificate.

EASIER ?
It's been an ongoing effort since before Nov of 2008, and no one has been able to 'disqualify' him yet.
There’s no doubt, however, that your comment does qualify. Language is funny that way.
WHO is going to MAKE him do it ?
The taxers conspiracy theorists have shut up ever since Mitt Romney released his tax paperwork.
Still waiting for the TRANSPARENT president to release his college transcripts, papers, passport info, college loan paperwork, etc.
good...the BS media can’t use this as some sort of distraction to protect ayatollah obama’s ass....
that was the job of the press. they wouldn’t do it.
so we know they are in the tank for the fascists/commies/socialists.
easy answer.
blessings, bobo

Setting aside the monumental failure that approach has been so far, those of us who don't suffer from birther myopia know removing one person doesn't remove their underlying political ideology...which is the root of all America's current problems. The political philosophy Obama represents is what needs to be destroyed. Birtherism does nothing to address that.
There is so much evidence he was born in HI:
1.There is the current forgery
2.There is the book bio saying he was born in Kenya
3.There is the out of sequence birth numbering.
4.There is the “newspaper ads about his birth”, a common ruse by relatives to gain US citizenship.
Gee golly...I do not understand why there are birthers.
Birthers are crazy.
No, it does not. I welcome a discussion about language. And yes, you are now whining.
Discretion is the better part of valor right now. We don't want people to throw all what Ryan has to say out with the bathwater because he gets tangled up with this right now. The battle is for others to fight, not him, now.
you got that right, bro.
it took me a little time to pay attention.
blessings to you,
greg
There. Fixed it for you.
I truly am sorry that Paul Ryan hasn’t satisfied your birther fantasies. That’s all I can say.
The Supreme Court said the 14th Amendment restates the requirements that common law imposed on the term natural born subject:
“The real object of the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution, in qualifying the words, “All persons born in the United States” by the addition “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” would appear to have been to exclude, by the fewest and fittest words...the two classes of cases — children born of alien enemies in hostile occupation and children of diplomatic representatives of a foreign State — both of which, as has already been shown, by the law of England and by our own law from the time of the first settlement of the English colonies in America, had been recognized exceptions to the fundamental rule of citizenship by birth within the country. Calvin’s Case, 7 Rep. 1, 18b; Cockburn on Nationality, 7; Dicey Conflict of Laws, 177; Inglis v. Sailors’ Snug Harbor, 3 Pet. 99, 155; 2 Kent Com. 39, 42.
The principles upon which each of those exceptions rests were long ago distinctly stated by this court. [p683] “
I have no expectations of Paul Ryan in this regard one way or the other. So, it appears that the only fantasizing here is coming from you, directed at me.
Not a very deft attempt at changing the subject. You should work on that.
I do like how Ryan nails the birthers. He sends them the current forged birth certificate and they fold up like cheap suits. Wow, Ryan is a genius.
Oh, my. You forgot what the thread was about. How embarrassing.
I think that the Birther issue is a distraction, and should NOT be a topic of the election campaign.
That being said, I think Obama’s paper trail (tax returns, college transcripts, AND birth certificate (unofficial)) did NOT receive the scrutiny they should have, and as result we got screwed. (pardon my french)
