The moderator didn't think you guys were intellectually savy enough to see through the title of the post despite the body of the thread shining light on it. Personally, I think you guys are smarter than that, but obviously, he doesn't think so. So I'm done at FR. See you guys on the other side! Keep up the fight for the America we have know and love!
Arcy out.

Personally, I dont have a problem with the headline. You wont find many liberals among the Mod Squad. ;-) Our only concern is that the headline is all our enemies are going to see and theyre going to seize on it as more evidence that Free Republic is racist. We were getting complaints, which Is what drew our attention initially. We hope you understand and reconsider your decision To leave the site.
Why take it personally?
If the mods were looking out for FR, they were just doing their job.
gtfo then - bye
What if we find that Romney is 1/32 Black?
Big woop. It’s not your website. Take it like an adult next time.
Get a cup of coffee, then get a grip and come back. The Mods were just watching out for FR. The libs love to take things out of context.
The “not because he’s white” point was in the body of the vanity. The headline alone was only to the point that “he’s WHITE”.
You do know that the headline alone is usable against us, don’t you? If not, why not?
Then the poster claims that it was removed for reasons that do not fit what the mod wrote to him/her about the removal.
We don’t need this.
JMO
For reasons that should be obvious once you think about it for a while, JimRob and the Mods are really trying to walk the fine line between being an unabashedly right wing site, and providing ammo to Left-tards who want to get this site filtered out as an extremist hate site. Speaking as somebody who is typing this from behind a corporate firewall, losing access to FR would be unhappy-making 8-(
This was the Moderator equivalent of a forest ranger telling you to hang your food in a tree to keep the liberal bears away from it.
I have to concur with you, Sidebar. I understand the poster’s effort at being clever, however, we ALL know how the headline will be deliberately used by the likes of Rachel Maddow. That headline will blazed across the TV screen with her spuriously claiming that FReepers and any other Conservaitve are just a collection of racists who will vote against Obama because he’s Black.
It’s sad, but as a FReeper I am unwilling to hand bullets to the likes of Maddow and Matthews by which they can then shoot us.
Mods are correct. The decision stands.
You wont find many liberals among the Mod Squad. ;-)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A-HAH! I knew it. Not many liberals. As in there are SOME-just not many.
Who is it? Who is the token lib mod at FR? I bet it’s that Lead Moderator. That’s how come we never see much of him, huh? You other mods keep him tied up in the attic, right?
Please reconsider.
We need you.
The headline was just wrong for FR.
I’m Voting for the Guy Wearing MAGIC UNDEROOS Tonight.
See???.... All Better
Tagline Moderator. Which is why you don't see him around any longer.
But at FR, the focus is on posting links to, and excerpts of, articles of interest on the rest of the web. It's the catalyst for discussion of the article, and especially criticism of the article when it is obviously biased.
When posting an article, you shouldn't be changing the title. First and foremost, it allows people to search for that title and avoid a duplicate posting. If you want to make modifications, append it them in brackets (i.e. [BARF ALERT!] so it is clearly an edit.
When you post a vanity, you are effectively self-publishing. While you are responsible for the content, so is Free Republic. Even if they prevail in court, it's still an expensive fight.
If you want an unmoderated forum for publishing, create your own website and you'll be free to post whatever you want.
See you next week!
