The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you.
This thread is non-political, although you will find that most here are conservative folks. No matter what, you wont be flamed and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked.
It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread ... there is no telling where it will go and that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us!
I didn’t know about your dog. What happened?
Me too!
I have never seen any thing like that. LOL.
We had to have here put to sleep due a heart condition (HeartWorm). She was with us 12 1/2 years and was a year and a half old when she came to us. She was a English pointer...
Oh. I am so sorry to hear that. I get so attached to my doggies that hubby always insists that we don’t get another one. So I have not owned one since 2000.
However, I dog sit daily with my grand daughter’s dog, because she has severe seperation anxiety. I am getting awfully attached.
Thank you for getting us together. We received about 4 inches of rain this weekend. What a great thing to happen, here, as we needed it. AND the weather has cooled. yippee.
You are welcome. Glad to hear you are also getting some much needed rain and heat relief. LOL.
Did this last year, and most of them rooted - the green tomatoes ripened, and I hand pollinated the flowers and got quite a few new tomatoes grown indoors.
I read about that technique a couple days ago and decided to give it a try. Do you use a rooting hormone or just put them in dirt?
I have never used rooting hormones, but I did buy some to use. I just forget to use it usually, but sometimes I am just too lazy LOL.
