Erin Moran was just 14 when she signed on to play Joanie Cunningham, the feisty little sister of Richie Cunningham in the hit Seventies show Happy Days.
But while child actor Ron Howard, who played Richie, has since gone on to become an A-list Hollywood producer and director, his on-screen 'sister' has fallen on much harder times.
Moran, 51, was photographed looking worse for wear outside a Holiday Inn in Corydon, Indiana, after reportedly being kicked out of the trailer she shared with her husband Steve Fleischmann.

This story has been around for months.
I’d have more sympathy if she hadn’t chewed off the hands that fed her, and called her Happy Days family evil.

(Had FDR been GOP, there would have been no World Wars, just "The Great War" and "Roosevelt's Wars".)

Gavan O'Herlihy played the lost son "Chuck Cunningham" in the first season of "Happy Days" (1974). Is actually younger (by about two months) than Ron Howard, who played his "younger" brother on the show. Howard later directed O'Herlihy in a small part in Willow (1988).

Chachi claims he doesn't even know Joanie...

She and her husband needs to get a job - McDonalds, washing dishes, anything! But it would interfere with her bar hopping at night. God doesn’t bless laziness.

At some point, one would think she would tell herself 'I need a new career' and act accordingly. Seems the fundamental problem is that she cannot act, in the first place.

A sad story. I hope that the story about the drinking problem is not true. If it is, I hope that she can conquer it.

Interesting. IIRC, the TV mom in Good Times was about 20 years older than her TV husband who in turn was less than 10 years older than his TV son.

That is what happens when you rely on Hollywierd for a living and have no backup plan.

Her adult lifestyle obviously reflects lots of bad choices. However, she didn't make a lot of money...The series was 30+ years ago..salaries weren't anything liek they are now..and she was what, the 6th or 7th ranking"star" on the show?
I'd wager that she probably didn't even make $1000/week...then agents/publicists take a big chunk, and as a minor, he parents probably took, and spent, whatever was left..
She had no career to speak of after the series ended..and she never got a piece of the royalties...the renewals everytime a program airs in syndication/reruns..that's where the REAL $$$ is..

The weirdest one was Estelle Getty, who played Bea Arthur's wise-cracking mother on 'Golden Girls' - - Getty was actually a year younger than Arthur.

Completely different twist on this story from the one published in the NY Post last June
and posted her on FR: From that article:
Despite these tough times, pals admire Morans dedication to her sick mother-in-law. She and Steve moved in with his ailing mother at the trailer park a few weeks back. Erin is like an angel to her mother-in-law. She cooks and cleans for her and takes care of her personal hygiene, the family pal observed...
