Mitt Romney's recent slide in several polls, including those in the battleground states of Ohio, Virginia and Florida, is troubling enough for the GOP. But, now the Republican nominee appears to be trailing President Barack Obama among a traditionally conservative constituency: NASCAR fans.
Obama leads Romney 49 to 42 percent among NASCAR enthusiasts, according to a new Zogby poll by JZ Analytics.
As the liberal blog PoliticusUSA.com pointed out, Romney was booed at the Daytona 500 in February during a campaign trip ahead of Super Tuesday.

OH SURE! NASCAR fans just love the Obamas. As we all saw when she hand picked a white veteran with a black wife and mixed race kids to help her make a photo op
where she got booed anyway!

This is the new narrative in the MSM, “No matter how bad things are Obama is going to win reelection no matter what happens!”

Do they run NASCAR off of solar power or wind mills?

Imagine the excitement as the Volts careen around the corners at the death defying speeds of 45 mph ... and the gruesome accidents when the overheated batteries explode ... Heey-Ha! That would be some good excitement there (thar)...
Those cars would probably never make it the length of the race so it would have to be decided by which car died last.

...45 MPH...my lord, the fans would be left breathless with those speeds. Young boys all over the US of A would push the envelope on their big wheels to break those track records.

I really don't like NASCAR myself. Maybe the last two laps are ok. ;) But I'm surrounded by many people that love it. I can't repeat on here what every last one of them has said about Obama. Not one will be voting for Obama, I can guarantee that.

The online poll of 860 likely voters conducted on Sept. 21 and 22 Well if it got its results from the internet it has to be right. On the internet no one knows that you are a Village Voice reading leftist.
Now it's time for me to find a poll of NPR listeners and blend in so I can tell them how much I oppose Obama.

Not one will be voting for Obama, I can guarantee that. Even after 500 miles of turning left the typical NASCAR fan wouldn't end up in Obama territory.

In other Yahoo News, Shaquille O’neal will be driving the Number 69 Chevy Volt in this year’s Daytona 500. NASCAR endorses Obama’s call for more fuel efficient race cars.
