SHTF Plan ^ | 9/24/12 | Holly Deyo

Every person will face an ugly new reality when life as we know it vanishes. It’s coming. Soon. It might be a slow crawl decline or a rapid descent into nightmarish conditions. Various scenarios now flit threateningly across the horizon. If we’re brave enough to peer into the abyss, we can see some of these events bordering on fruition. Most are unnerving; some will be paralyzing. Regardless of the fright factor, we must examine individually how to handle these looming crises. When they strike, people without a plan in place, will die.

So what’s lurking about?

I suspect hussein relocating to Hawaii is more a bug out location than lovely sunsets.

Maybe it reminds him of Indonesia. I just hope he’s gone in January.

my buggout locale has plenty of meat to be canned, well about 2k head this year, plenty of food and plenty of work. I am signed up for an intro to butchering course at a local community college in a month. hopefully the world will stay together until then

My ranch is #1 location, but I have a Mooney Acclaim (a very fast prop plane) that is my bugout plan #2. Strip is here on the ranch.

Destination? Probably South or Canada.

You are certainly right. I just don’t think that Dolly and Chip are going to turn every intersection into Normandie and Florence Drives.

Well, not as quickly anyway.

Right, Dolly and Chip are hunkering down, making plans with their friends and neighbors, and not "looting the Food King," and loading mags for the OWS zombies.

Today, I canned 27.5 quarts of tomatoes. What a job. But we’re set for the next year. Tomorrow, apples. It’s that time of year.

I haven’t canned meat. We get beef and pork by the side and freeze it. I am able to can meat, but it’s not what I do now. It’s an option for us.
