Dr. James Dobson, whose advice about parenting, child-rearing, marriage and faith has guided millions of Americans and whose counsel on family matters has been sought by presidents, today blasted the Republican Party for abandoning a strong GOP candidate to be U.S. senator, U.S. Rep. Todd Akin.
Dobson, the founder and president of Family Talk, which produces his regular radio program, Dr. James Dobsons Family Talk, told WND it is disgraceful that the GOP political bosses have told Akin to drop out of his race, have withdrawn financial support and publicly maligned the congressman.
I regret to say that Congressman Akin has been subjected to disgraceful treatment at the hands of the GOP political bosses, Dobson said. They have withheld funds for his campaign, even though he won the GOP primary for the Senate seat. Karl Rove and Haley Barbour have said things about his character that are untrue. Their vicious opposition could get his Democratic opponent elected in his stead. That is curious since an Akin win could give the Senate majority to the Republicans.

So, what have we got, Dobson’s Choice?
The above link gives the ballot initiatives for 2006 election that gave Claire the victory over Talent.
I think all initiatives passed but the tobacco tax... But this ballot got out the liberals, and the welfare recipients that were told they toooo would benefit from stem cell. Also, liberals exposed the GOP-e- boy chaser Foley.

Health care will be on the Missouri 2012 ballot.
I am sure that you are quite correct. Unfortunately, your circle of acquaintances does not reflect the entire electorate. Many Missouri voters whom would have voted for Akin before his unfortunate remarks, will now either not vote for either candidate or will vote for McCaskill. I'm sure that you do not know these people, nor do I, but they will vote as I predict, and it will mean a McCaskill victory.
I can’t stand psychologists
“There are districts in the cities of KC and St. Louis that ALWAYS turn in their votes late so they know how many fraudulent votes they need to manufacture, and they are not shy about turning in more ballots than residents. “
I tell you what, once I voted for a Republican guy running against Alan Wheat, and they had the gall to call my house and tell me there was a problem with my ballot and I needed to come back and vote again. So I went back (it was in a little private residence) and voted for the republican again. Voter fraud is rampant.
And the last time Health Care was on the ballot it was 70% to 30% against ObamaCare aka ClaireCare.
Akin’s remarks were neither “unfortunate,” nor inaccurate.
The people that were inclined to vote for him in the beginning will have had sufficient time to figure out what fraud was pulled on them by the MSM working in bed with the GOPe, and he will win.
Go ahead and eat the only candidate running against McCaskill; be my guest.
He clearly meant by “legitimate” rape real rape, not women having consensual sex and later claiming “rape”.
Context. So he’s not perfect. If Rs hadn’t attacked him his comment would have been forgotten a long time ago.
>> “Thats what he said.” <<
.
And it is basically a biological fact.
Stress can shut down the reproductive process instantly.
We do not have to choose between wrong and stupid.
We can do better than that.
In a fantasy world, yes.
In this world, there are two choices.
You would crawl over broken glass to vote against BO, but you would not do the same against McCaskill. Nice double standard. As the ardent Romney supporters like to ask, are you campaigning for McCaskill?
>> “ If Rs hadnt attacked him his comment would have been forgotten a long time ago” <<
.
That’s why the Rs are still attacking.
I apologize; I shouldn’t have used those words.
I just get extremely agitated when the Dems (AND, as it turns out, people like Karl Rove, who I have no use for) get served the red meat that they’re hungering for-—all the argument they need to allow the Left to use Akin’s no compromise position as proof that we , Conservatives AND Republicans,
are socially regressive, and ready to impose BY LAW their hardline views on ALL AMERICAN WOMEN. At this particular moment, it plays right into the current demagoguery of “The War on Women”, a joke if there ever was one. WHY give them anything they can use like that?
Unfortunately, this is wishful thinking. You are projecting your own thoughts onto those of the electorate. I assure you, they are quite different. This is not how elections work. Akin cannot attract the uninformed, the disconnected, and the easily persuaded. He will lose these votes to McCaskill, or at best, they will skip over this race on the ballot. McCaskill will win and a vile, self serving abortion queen will have another six years to work her evil in the Senate. A wonderful thing, don't you think?
Yes!!! And this year sneaky Carnahan's wording for a health care ballot initiative got rejected. I do not know when the deadline is to get other initiatives on the ballot. I just love it when states that produced the likes of Sebelius bash Akin around and about the head. Now what 'religion' is Sebelius????? And they say 'conservatism' is about taking personal responsibility.
I’m sure Ubama will appreciate your vote.
You have never read or heard Todd Akin's 6 second statement in its entirety.
You have just heard what the demagogues have said about it.
Am I correct???
No as a matter of fact, I have no use for those two.
It would’ve been a smarter position for the current GOP
brains trust to have been a little more original re: Akin by saying “We don’t agree with his statements about female biology, and many of us are not that hardline, but we have diversity of thought in our Party, much more diversity than the Democrats”.I don’t blame Akin for not resigning, if he has any reason to believe that he’s representing the people that elected him, and reflecting THEIR positions, EVEN IF HE HIMSELF FELT 0THERWISE on this issue.
Good, reasoned post. Too bad that reason falls on so many deaf ears here these days. my prayers are for a good man, Akin to win out over the liars like Mc Caskill and Rove.
