The unemployment rate for July 2011 was at 9.1% nationwide, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. With an increase in the cost of child care, the country may well see a rise in that statistic. Working parents strain to come up with the money to pay child care costs and, in some cases, find that they would be better off not working at all. When you take into account the costs of gas to commute, business attire and other expenses that come with having a job outside the home, most families are not netting enough to cover the rest of their expenses. For some, the cost of child care combined with these expenditures is more than their total wages.
Ha ha—what a hero you must be to your family!

I don’t disagree, there are mothers that should not be allowed near puppies, much less their own children.
And fathers do tend to be screwed more then women in a divorce.
I just don’t think money should determine the better parent.
That explains a lot. The USCG is not a typical branch of the military. They are not under the Dept of Defense until wartime. The rules are a lot different, same thing for Guard and Reserves.
What you described would not have happen with active duty.

As a matter of fact whenever someone asks about my day my response is, "Just another day in paradise."
I also realize that my daughter and SIL will be choosing my nursing home and be my sole source of connecting with the outside world when that time comes.
Just someone who realizes that my daughter and SIL will be the ones to choose my retirement home. And they and my grandsons will be my main source of interaction with the world when that time comes.
socialism is the root of the evil. Paying people to reproduce will be the death of this country.
My CO would have made that POS’s life miserable if he knew about that. He would have supported his family one way or the other. I saw it many times.
Your family is blessed to have you. Keep up the good work!
