Talk about sticky-fingered thieves. They've struck in Quebec, snatching millions of dollars worth of maple syrup from a warehouse in Saint-Louis-de-Blandford, between Montreal and Quebec City.
Up to 10 million pounds of syrup was in the warehouse, according to a statement from the Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers, which bills itself as keeper of the global strategic maple syrup reserve.

Hard to say. Its not exactly a rare commodity.
How do you fense 10 million pounds of syrup?
They’ll pin the blame on some sap.
In Other News:
Waffle House has just hired dozens of new security guards to protect their waffle stash from possible theft.

10 million lbs would be over 15,000 drums of the stuff. How does one steal that without drawing attention to oneself?
I am guessing it was an inside job.
Theory; Can Maple Syrup be refined into Ethanol? Or a cheap diesel fuel? That makes enormous sense for the fence.
Someone is getting a jump on the Black Market Sugar demand that will come about in Obama’s suppossed 2nd term! I imagine thing like a bag of sugar will get you further than a wad of inflated currency if barry gets his way.....
That’s 5,000 TONS of maple syrup.
Good grief, that is almost 42 fully loaded train cars (coal cars carry about 120 tons each) or about 167 fully loaded semis.
Someone’s idea of security was an epic fail...
I just realized I need some tactical maple syrup to go with my tactical bacon.
You can't have strategy without tactics.

Refining Maple Syrup to sugar highly probable and untracable.
How would you turn a nickel with all that syrup?
“Theyll pin the blame on some sap.”
So is W responsible for that too?
Someone had sticky fingers.
1 - Steal 10 million pounds of syrup.
2 - ????
3 - PROFIT!
I wonder how many tanker trucks that is. I can’t get a handle on how much 10 million pounds.
Please report to pun prison immediately.
Interestingly, they didn’t steal the drums, merely emptied them. I wonder if they arrived at this facility empty and this is just the culmination of a long con involving falsified paperwork of non-existent syrup.
