Watch Boehner completely ignore the 'No's' votes over the Establishment power grab
Youtube ^

Posted on 08/29/2012 9:36:23 AM PDT by Bigtigermike

The result of the RNC new rules will be to centralize power in the hands of the Republican Establishment in Washington at the expense of the grass roots. It will also have the effect of making a primary challenge to Romney from the right in 2016 (if he wins) more difficult, given that he will control the party apparatus to an unprecedented degree given his new rules. Mark Levin stated that John Boehner ignored the “nos” which were at least as loud, if not louder than the “ayes” so that he could give Romney surrogate John Sununu, standing right next to him, what he wanted. By simply circumvented the vote by declaring ”the ayes gave it” despite all evidence to the contrary. What has the Republican Party become?

(Note: this is the only video I could find of the coup and so the poster of the original video thinks this is Paulbots negative doings when it's not - as was noted yesterday, a lot of Tea Party and grassroots conservatives were upset as well because they know that the potential for the Establishment to rig the primaries in future at will is in play)

What does he care. He will be reelected in his district and he will be Majority leader until he wants to give it up or we lose the House. We all complain and complain about things but do nothing to change it. For years we have said how much Romney is such a loser and guess what? As soon as the loser is nominated, he suddenly becomes the greatest thing on Earth. GOPe is going to do whatever it wants because they know the conservatives are going to lock step behind whoever it is regardless. The GOPe have it pretty good quite frankly.

Yesterday I told a couple of friends about this. They dismissed it out of hand as a bunch of Paulnuts having a fit, and made it clear they don’t care about any crooked maneuverings the GOP might do.

The end of the Republican Party as the conservative party.

Alinsky tactic to silence dissent. It won't work and it won't matter who they blame when the bill comes due.

I am glad to see that Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin and others have spoken out against the idiocy of the "Paulnut" meme.

That's what it was. The intent of the rule changes were to deal with the paulbots who've been disrupting the state conventions and trying to impose minority will on the majority of Republicans and conservatives. These paulbots hate the Romney wing of the party like many here do, but they hate the Santorum/Huckabee social conservative wing of the party even more. Paulbots are not conservatives, just libertarians who realize their 3rd party is never going to get them anywhere. They are attempting a hostile takeover and Republicans at the local and state level were slow to react, but now they have. These rules changes may have been overkill, but they were aimed at dealing with paultards who are never going to vote for the eventual nominee no matter who it was (unless it was Paul of course).

And then the next week at the convention when George Romney only got 40 votes to Goldwaters 800+ he stomped angrily out of the convention hall young impressionable Willard in tow and went and helped Johnson against the Republicans...

REBEL PLAN FOR HOUSTON ACTIVISTS

What better way to strike back at this control-centered Republican party than to help usher in citizen legislation in a direct blow to the ONE issue targeting their class interests.Stop the Magnet needs 75 more volunteers committed by late September, won’t you please consider signing up at: volunteer@stopthemagnet.com? We actually have a good time interacting with voters and making new friends. Remember also that petitioners on voting sites get the longest “ear-time” with voters ESPECIALLY on the topic of illegal immigration. If you are worried about a candidate winning, we really don’t care who you support. We are after 20,000 signatures for placing our two enforcement propositions on the 2013 ballot.

Thanks for considering.

Me, too. I might be mistaken, but I think Rush busted the Paul meme, as well.

And the moderate purists have spent the last 50 years pointing to the Goldwater defeat that they engineered as proof that conservatives can't get elected.

Moderates are nothing but lying, manipulative, bottom feeding scum.

If it was Paulnuts, you should inform Mark Levin; he disagrees.

As for the “hate” of the Romney wing of the party, doesn’t it bother you that conservatives now sling that word around as loosely as liberals ever have? Trying to personalize conservatives’ rejection of liberalism is beneath us.

While it didn't get any play on the national stage, I think this put some fear into them. Saul Anuzis was one of the morons who voted to change the rules after the primary in Michigan to save Romney the indignity of a tie. Just weeks later the people stripped him of his national committee seat.

Conservatives working in unison at the State Republican Convention sent a message to the establishment loud and clear: "It's our turn!"...No more `business as usual' politics orchestrated to appease the political masses with hollow claims of conservatism and principles each election cycle, only to disappear into the maze of lobbyists and special interests in the interim...This time, the false claims of an election year cycle fell on deaf ears, conservatism ruled the day...Libertarians, Tea Partiers, and true Republican conservatives unified in one of the most sweeping upsets of the incumbent power brokers I have seen in my lifetime...they have sent both the State and National GOP a clear ultimatum...This time we will not be silent, nor ignored, nor brushed aside...

We won!!!

Make no mistake, there's a war going on and only the GOP has something to lose.

Paulbots are not conservatives, just libertarians who realize their 3rd party is never going to get them anywhere.

So if you are in fact a conservative who wants to cast a vote for the candidate who truly means to deliver on a promise to limit the size of government, cut federal spending, and safeguard the rights of the individual, to what party do you turn?

Not the Republicans, that's for sure. Some of them talk a good game, but what they actually do is a different story. That being the case, the voter who actually wants government off his back may as well stay home come election day.

Reading that is very heartening. What worries me at the moment is the tendency of so many people to deliberately blind themselves to anything Romney and the GOP do. We need to see more of what happened in your state.
