Claire McCaskill is doing cartwheels.
Nailed it!!
Is this it? No content? No intellectual musings? Biff-Boom-Fizzle
Hey Dallas, he made a decision. to stay in the race. Real conservatives will now back him against McCaskill. If you continue your bashing of Akin, we will have to assume that you want McCaskill to win.
The reason i can't stand Akin is first, his stupid remarks, which put the repeal of Obamacare in jeopardy, with the re-election of Clair McCaskill. BTW, why is Akin more concerned about the evil GOP establishment, rather than Obama/McCaskill.
Second his arrogance that he can't really admit to his stupid remarks.
Third, arrogant bustards like you, who cast aspersions when they lose political arguements.
You know one could from your screen name,"editor-surveyor" could mean you scout out schoolyard playgrounds, but I won't go there.
And he is going to lose(he lost 18 points), badly, and all for his(Akin's) vanity.
“Conservatives are well acquainted with truth, and support it; wacked out leftists like yourself reject the odd concept of objective truth.”
Hey if you are so right about Akin and that his words were spoken with truth, then by all means keep getting the word out there, like I said a TV ad would be the quickest way to swing over those undecided women, I’m sure Todd would deeply appreciate it.
DallasBiff;
If you want Akin to step down, to save that senate seat for conservatives, you will be labeled a surrender monkey, a left wing whack job, pro abortionist, McCaskill plant etc etc.
There is no reasoning with a certain fringe element on here, but the clock is winding down to Nov.
‘Its common knowledge that guys called Biff, and Chuckee are usually queer.”
That one I am going to frame as a classic of the some of the more paranoid emotional schoolyard namecalling that stalks these boards.Sorry but myself,my wife and kids would tell you no.
I do not despise Akin.. If I lived in Missouri and as a conservative Republican partisan if he was the only alternative I would vote for the loser. But I want him to withdraw because he shot himself in the head not the foot and no amount of apologies or reinterpretation by him or wishful thinking by you is going to resurrect him.
I know very well.
People like Akin and editor-surveyor dislike the GOP more than Obama/McCaskill.
They rant and rave when one of theirs(Akin) makes a really stupid remark, but they cannot take responsibilty and be politically mature.
They remind me of democrats.
I understand that he made a sincere apology about the politically incorrect wording of his statement. I also understand that all the moaning and groaning from our side fills the liberals with glee. Time to remember that Mr. Akin has a 97% ACU rating vs. McCaskill’s mere 14%, and to put her voting record back into the spotlight.
BTW, I know queers that have wives and kids; no biggie.
Akin has definitely NOT shot himself in the foot. Only radical leftists and moronic bed wetters would have that reaction. He is doing just fine, and only needs the kind of support that is normally given to our candidates, and to seal Hannity and Colter in a toumb.
Clinton also made a "sincere" apology. I guess Akin thinks he can also go the Clinton route.
If I lived in Missouri, I would leave the senate vote blank.
The problem here is that Akin just handed the democrats a narrative. Since most of the media is liberal, the tale that will be spun is that pro-lifers are the ignorant American Taliban. To most people, who do not follow politics like political junkies, this narrative will be all they hear.
>> “People like Akin and editor-surveyor dislike the GOP more than Obama/McCaskill.” <<
False statement deliberately offered to cover your lies.
I dislike the dishonest globalist GOPe excrement, and liars like you that always try to shoot down conservative candidates.
Are you really queer ‘Biff,’ or do you just play one on FR?
Clinton also made a "sincere" apology. I guess Akin thinks he can also go the Clinton route.

“They remind me of democrats.”
Their strident almost rabid belief criteria reminds me of any number of totalitarian regimes.
They state their arguments, but when those are challenged then and are found wanting, they resort to personal insults or disparagement.
If they had real power, I would hate to see what the third step would be.
The problem here is that the bed wetters are pushing the false dilemma that Aikin misspoke.
He really did not. And the conservatives and independents will mostly agree with him on the subject of false rape, so no real damage done by Akin; just by the GOPe bedwetters.
“BTW, I know queers that have wives and kids; no biggie.”
Sounds like you are one of those repressed moralists who have been working the public parks at night.
Ahh -- spoken like a true DU operative.

The most common causes of failure to ovulate are:
Stress, weight fluctuations, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (P.C.O.S.). Other causes may include disorders of the pituitary gland, thyroid gland and raised prolactin levels.

In conclusion, acute stress on the day of proestrus can affect female reproductive physiology. Moreover, the angiotensinergic system, through AT(1) receptors, participates in the effects of acute stress in the morning of proestrus.

Animal breeding also is affected by stress. Zoos, in particular, have difficulty getting some animals to reproduce in captivity, Bentley said.
Based on animal experiments, researchers attribute much of this stress effect on sexual function to an increase in glucocorticoids - stress hormones - produced by the adrenal gland. In the brain, these glucocorticoids suppress the main reproductive hormone, GnRH, which in turn causes a shut-down of the release of the gonadotropins luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone by the pituitary, and then a suppression of testosterone, estradiol and sexual behavior.
In 2000, however, a new reproductive hormone was discovered in birds and dubbed gonadotropin-inhibitory hormone (GnIH) because it had the opposite effect of GnRH - it inhibited release of gonadotropins, thereby suppressing reproduction.
Its very adaptive to not be wasting resources on reproduction during times of acute stress, to just shut down reproduction for 24 hours or so until the stress is gone, said co-author Daniela Kaufer, a UC Berkeley assistant professor of integrative biology who looks at how stress affects molecular processes in the brain. These functions go back in evolution a long way.
. . ..
Kirby showed that acutely stressed rats showed increased RFRP levels for several hours, but that levels returned to normal by the next day. Chronically stressed rats, however, were left with longer-term elevations of RFRP levels in the dorsomedial hypothalamus area of the brain, and suppression of activity in the reproductive axis - the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal hormone cascade - that is associated with lowered sexual activity.
