BATH, Ohio (AP) The childhood home of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer is for sale in northern Ohio. The three-bedroom, 2,170-square foot home on a private wooded lot in Bath, near Akron, was the site of Dahmer's first murder, in 1978. He moved to Wisconsin in 1982 and went on to kill 16 more people before his crimes were discovered in 1991. He was killed in prison in 1994 by a fellow inmate. Dahmer's parents bought the house in 1968, when he was 8. The current owner is musician Chris Butler, who was a founding member of the 1980s band The Waitresses. He told The Akron Beacon Journal that he listed the house because he no longer has reason to spend much time in the area. The asking price is $329,000.

..somebody will gobble it up.
Does it come with a refrigerator?
Hey! It’s only about 20 minutes South of me. And I’ve been wanting to move further away from Cleveland. The house is in a very nice area, but if any place is haunted, and creepy,,,,,,,,,,,,, well,,,, no thanks!
Yeah I know Chris from the Tin Huey days. He only visits Akron a couple of times a year anymore. He has held some Halloween parties in the house!
$329K, not bad... I thought they’d ask an arm and a leg for it.
“The ranch-style house was built in 1952, and a year later it was featured in the Beacon Journal for its modern style, open layout and floor-to-ceiling windows that provided views of the wooded hillside.”
I’ve seen pics of the house, and if you like the Mid-Century Modern style as much as I do, you’d love it!
Can’t imagine owning it
Had friends (a married couple) who learned a suicide had taken place in their house decades earlier. In particular, the wife wanted to pack-up and move ASAP.
Argh! It’s on page 7 at that link. Scroll down to the house for sale for $329,000.
“Basement Features: Crawl” That’s where bone shards were found I think. Or maybe they were just found in the yard. Still,,, beautiful Fifties’ home, on a spectacular yard!
“I love, love, love the place, but I just don’t get back there that often,” he said.”
...I’m a Realtor and no matter how much somebody hates thier home, they always “love, love, love” it when they’re selling.
You’d think it’d have a killer price tag.
I could live in it.
Dahmer did unspeakable evil, but I am convinced he is with God now.
I know a man who knows the man who baptized Dahmer in prison, shortly before Dahmer was killed there. This guy is convinced Dahmer's repentance was genuine.
If Dahmer can be saved, I've got hope, and so does the rest of humanity.
“I could live in it.”
Actually,,, I could too. It’s a very nice house. And the lot????? Wonderful! My Cousin lives a mile away on the same road. Old, million dollar houses mostly, in a delightful small community.
I lived for 15 years in a farmhouse built in 1836. Who knows what may have happened there in 175 years? Probably somethin’!
And speaking of serial killers, I had a friend in HS whose house abutted the home-for-unwed-mothers property where future serial killer Ted Bundy first lived about thirty years earlier.
Bundy was still a couple of years away from being caught as a killer.

I have heard this before. Same for that “son of sam” killer. They say you will be surprised as to who is in Heaven. If he was truly sorry he is forgiven.
Personally I always thought that boy had demons or was possessed somehow. I hope before he died he did get rid of them.
Nice house, great for parties of just meating some of your friends.
