"Where can I find out if something is a "law"? Supposedly, Michelle Obama made a law that all chocolate milk in the school milk cooler has to be in the back so the kids can't reach it. She doesn't want the elementary school kids to have chocolate milk, but if we sell it, then it has to be "hard for them to reach". So, little kids are crawling in to my milk cooler, hands are getting hurt, fingers are getting smooshed, etc etc and I'd like to find out if it's an actual "law" instead of just something she's "suggesting".
I'm the lunch lady at the school. Our supervisor came in and said we can't have the chocolate milk in front, it's a law from michelle Obama.
So, I'm just wondering, how do I find out if this is truly a law? I think it's stupid. The kids are all yelling - I can't reach the chocolate milk...i can't reach the chocolate milk. It's a disaster. She's hoping they'll choose the white milk."
Go over your ignorant supervisor's head.
How can Michelle Obama make a law?
Tell her to put the milk to the front.
First, MO can’t make laws.
Second, that sounds more like something that would be done by a nanny administration.
Third, sounds like the kind of BS you would get in chain emails. I could find no reference at all in several various google searches.
My friend messaged me on FB....it’s REAL!
>>My friend messaged me on FB....its REAL!<<
Sorry but your Friend is either mistaken or she is pulling your leg.
The administration of the school is using MO as an excuse. The woman doesn’t make laws.
My son teaches middle school. Yesterday for lunch, the kids got served eggs and a nasty ‘’sausage’’ made from vegetables or tofu or a combination. They couldn’t figure it out. The kids were not happy. He also said they are indeed being required to take a vegetable, which they throw away. They still have chocolate milk, but it is being discouraged. I’ll ask him if they are hiding it.
LOL.. it is on the internet, it must be real.
I’m so glad I homeschool.
What don’t you understand about a personal friend asking me to do this, thru a private message on facebook....would I waste my time on this chit if it was a chain email?
Isn’t it racist to make the chocolate milk sit in the rear of the milk cooler?
“Where can I find out if something is a “law”?
You can’t; I doubt if even most lawyers - or, for that matter, most legislators - could.
As a result, we’e all lawbreakers now.
But, of course, that’s why we need such a huge government bureaucracy - to enforce the law and to make new laws to enforce.
Fortunately we have sufficient lawmakers to see that it’s all possible; the money, privileges, power, and perks have nothing to do with it.
Really.
I wasn’t talking about the BS having come from you, but wherever it originated that the administration of that school thinks it is real.
Is this for real? The dark ones have to sit in back?
I know she doesn’t make laws...she wanted to know what she should do? Guess sh’ll have to complain to her supervisors. JC....she’s NOT pulling my leg fir cryin out loud!
This sounds like nonsense. Michelle can’t make laws, she can’t even direct rules or even guidelines for schools.
Same here. Kids now only get whole grain everything. They made pasta and my son threw it out. Talked to lunch lady and she is struggling. Kids get X number (grams, oz) of grains. She ladeled out one cup portions of pasta to 8th graders with one slice of bread. Kids can only get more fruit and veges if still hungry. So they are essentially feeding 13 year olds the same quantities as 7 year olds. Also, she said the cost of the new requirements is staggering and with that they are charging the kids, they can barely cover the cost of the food. Salad dressing is only oil and vinegar. Only 1 percent or skim milk (fat v added sugar). And this is a parochial school. Guidelines go in full effect next year. Once a month the kids can order Papa Johns pizza but that will no longer be allowed. Only pizza with wholegrain crust. Lunch lady said between nut and gluten allergies there will be a lot more packing.
Tell her to either put the milk in the front or ignore it.

Better yet : assign one lunchroom monitor whose only job is to stand by the milk machine anddispense chocolate milk .
There ,.. I fixed the chronic unemployment problem by one position .
That one position of employment will be read by the Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as 100 jobs created by Moosechell, and represent a significant change in the indicator of the unemployment numbers.
