Johnson recently gave a press conference where he said he was going to become a porn actor. The media laughed heartily...and continued to fawn over him...

Johnson was charged with simple domestic battery, a misdemeanor. I wonder why "domestic battery" is a different charge from "battery." It seems to me that, if you head-butted someone, you did. And would it still be "domestic" if he'd done it in a bar, instead of near their house?

I can’t think of too many cases where a guy head-butts his wife. Course, after she finds a receipt for condoms and he don’t normally use them....it’s liable to make a wife a bit suspicious.
Next team? My guess is that he’ll keep himself in shape, and wait for some team who has injuries and is fairly desperate for a replacement. He’ll get one last chance. My advice is that he ought to clean up his act, and hope to get one more year out of his NFL career. I doubt that he has any real cash left and he probably needs this pretty bad.

“domestic battery” In NH it is called Domestic Violence or Domestic Assault. The use of Domestic relates to a family member or a partner who lives under the same roof.
There are differences in our law, how Domestic Violence is handled versus Assault of a person say in a bar. In the Domestic case, the Law say we must remove any weapons, firearms etc from the home. These weapons can only be returned to the owner, by petitioning the court.

Which will help greatly in the MSM’s fading out into history, with the rise of newer media.

Any openings in Oakland???

I don’t watch a lot of football, but I am betting that this man’s receiving skills are failing.
Football teams don’t care about drug abuse, dog fighting, wife beating or anything else as long as the guy is an asset to win games.

They do though, care about distractions and missing practice. There are lots of guys with NFL skills who currently find themselves unemployed because of their character.

I'm not an expert but I'm pretty certain that here in Florida the designation of domestic battery allows law enforcement to make an arrest based solely on visual evidence of the assault. IOW, if she had a mark on her, even a slight mark, he was going to the pokey. I believe it allows them to diffuse the situation by removing one party for at least a few hours while providing time for the other party to get a restraining order.

Bingo! Which is why I don’t watch anymore. I have no need for a “sport” that says that Michael Vick “deserves another chance”.

Thank you, that is informative and helpful.

Vick served his time in a penitentiary.
No second chance, then ?
