I don't do many vsnities, but we lost our cat Orphan today to Cystitis. We had him just a year (he came to us as an adult), but he brought joy to us during his time here. We'll miss him greatly.
So sorry. That sweet little life was too brief. May you find some consolation in good memories of your time together.
That was a lovely post, Pegita. Thank you.
Think of the comfort and joy you brought to Orphan in this life. Just dwell on that. Now think of Orphan safe and happy in heaven waiting there for you. God loves you for taking care of, and loving as a member of your family, His sick and orphaned creature. May His blessings be upon you, many times over.
Thank you so much, my husband and I truly appreciate all the kind words. We’ve been through this many times, losing a cat, or a dog, but the pain is just so horrible every time, and we both cry for days. My husband finally did get a picture up of him, he had just gotten a “lion cut”, he had very thick fur.
Thank you all.
I had to put down one recently, only had her a few months. She came down with a prolapsed rectum. Nothing else could be done for her that I could afford to do by the time I found the problem. She was only about a year old.
A month later I adopted another tiny short-haired tortoiseshell in the middle of her pregnancy. She had 5 beautiful kittens. One didn't make it, but the other 4 are doing fine, and will be given away about October 1.

Sorry about your loss.
Isaiah 55:11
New King James Version
11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
To God be the Glory for His great love and care.

Awww, I’m glad yours is doing well! I certainly believe in the power of prayer regardless of the subject matter.
Turned out I didn’t need to start a thread. The vet called Sunday night and said he could come home on Monday. All tests were clear, was just having problems with a hairball gone awry.
Thanks for any prayers you sent up for my little buddy. :-)
That’s wonderful news!!! Yay!
