I remember taking one of those Intoduction to Psychology 101 classes (made for non-psychology majors) that once discussed that animals may attempt sex with the same sex, but it is typically a sign that the animal(s) are in some kind of distress - overcrowding, malnourished, under physical threat, etc.
I’ve often wondered if that relates to human beings - that homosexuality is a sign of some kind of “distress” or abuse in that persons life. I’m not saying that is always the case, just thought it might make sense that if animals do unnatural things because they are under some kind of duress that human beings may respond in a similar fashion.

I’m sick of this whole gay thing. My cats are surely not gay. LOLOL

There ya go! Exactly. Males will also do this with altered females. One of my boys recently stopped just short of mounting one of our girls & it freaked me out, so I asked my vet. I hadn’t even thought of that.
That same boy is poop OBSESSED! It turns out, though, that he has something going on with his liver. We’re having an ultrasound this week.

My dog is not gay but he is a mommy’s boy. My husband’s dog is not gay but he does have some serious mental issues. That’s why he’s my husband’s dog.

My chihuahua loves to eat his poop. Medication to make the stuff unpaletible to him did not work.

You got a great topic for a ping list!
Both of my cats are female. Every time a male cat walks by the sliding glass doors they go nuts.

Many years ago I had two spayed female cats. They would go at each other in a very sexual manner.

“Dr. Ibbetson speaks to the myth of animal homosexuality and why it does not stand up to scrutiny.”
It was all part of their schtick, like with those gay penguins who wound up being hetero when they had the chance.

I have read that humping is showing dominance - like, I own you and you better do what I say because I’m on top.

ahhh, I was talking about dogs - guess I didn’t make that clear. Don’t know if it works that way with humans - maybe we need another thread about that but it would be deleted by a mod.
