Boo the Pomeranian may be the most famous dog alive today, based purely on his looks. His photos are the sweetest sort of eye candy known to man, as millions of his fans on Facebook will attest.
As happens with the supremely attractive, he has an empire. He has stuffed toys made in his image. Books have been written about him. He is a public figure, liked by 4,938,017 people on Facebook. That is almost half as many who like Kim Kardashian, and he is a dog without a TV show (yet). When you Google "world's cutest dog," he is your first search result. The appeal of Boo is simple: as he writes on his heavily trafficked Facebook page, "My name is Boo. I am a dog. Life is good." ~snip~ How can a person not love Boo? When false rumors of his death spread across the Internet in that time we don't like to think about, we were devastated. ~snip~
Now we're faced with what may be the gravest conundrum yet, knowledge we're not sure we're fully equipped to deal with; actually, ~snip~ According to Mike Isaac of AllThingsD, two tipsters relayed the intel that "Boos adoptive human mother of the past six years is Irene Ahn, a dyed-in-the-wool Facebook employee working in a leading position in the companys finance department.
~snip~
At first, Boo's popularity took its time. It was when Ahn created a Facebook page for Boo, with a tidy, handy little URL, that celebrities started to get involved and like things and everything went nuts, or, in the parlance, viral. "And I cant help but think perhaps knowing a few of the right Facebook engineers helped Boo go viral a little bit faster," says Isaac.

Doggie ping for Joe; heads up to gorush. This author takes a slap at corgis at the original link. FR rules prevented me from posting the whole article. Check out the last line and post pictures of your pair to prove her wrong.
Boo looks a damn sight smarter than Kim. Lower maintenance too. What's not to like???
Mr. Winkle has been a star for years.
If mainstream propaganda outlets can make a community organizer president, getting doggie hits on facebook would be first tier training for new apparatchiks.
NeBootism ping.
Not a big fan of Poms or Corgis, but this is a cute picture.
A conversation with Boo is possible, not so with Kim.
You think THIS is bad? I have a revisionist biography of Greyfriar’s Bobby that says he was vicious and bit tourists!!
That ain’t no dawg...
That’s a moldy pair of slippers (well, one of them, anyways...)
Right Eaker?
I was talking about ya’ll!
LOL.
I favor big dogs myself, but he’s pretty cute.....looks sort of like a little living teddy bear.
I'm partial to this sort of cuteness, myself:
My neighbors just got back after going away for a week... I was nominated to dog-sit while they were gone.
The of just about the most beautiful, well behaved, affectionate golden labs you could ever want to see.
One about 3 yrs old and pushing 140 lbs, kind of a bruiser because he loves to play, has alot of energy, and plays rough. The other is about 7 years old, much more mellow and much wiser.
When the owner came to pick them up and the food, the older pup was sitting on my porch with his back to me. I started rubbing behind his right ear and he let out a groan that went on for about seven seconds. My neighbors eyes got about as wide as quarters and he said he never had done that before.
He does it all the time when I scratch/rub him. Course, I’ve been a dog person my whole life!!
I fully agree!
I was afraid I was going to read that Boo is gay.
LOL! Labs are such wonderful dogs. 140 lbs., wow....Id love to see that boy.
My sister-in-law used to have a huge German Shepherd, trained for protection but so loving with family. He would sit on top of my feet, growling and facing whomever he perceived as a threat, until called off.
My SIL and her husband divorced, and he got the Shepherd and moved away. I miss that dog.
