Sixty-five years after a UFO allegedly crashed in Roswell, New Mexico, a retired Air Force official has spoken out to say that not only did the shocking incident really happen but it happened twice. an unusual object fell from the sky and crashed to the ground in Roswell.
Military authorities issued a press release after the shocking incident, saying: The many rumours regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence officer of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc.
But, just 24 hours later, the military retracted their earlier statement and claimed the object they had first thought was a 'flying disc' was a weather balloon that had crashed on a nearby ranch.
The media and the public accepted the explanation without question. Since then, conspiracy theorists and officials such as French have called into question the military's line on the incident.
There were actually two crashes at Roswell, which most people don't know,..."

Speaking of Roswell, where the heck is Quix lately?
You must not work on the “good stuff” then. (good stuff being the interesting directed energy type stuff -— I do digital).
All the theory and even practice were already available in the late-30’s. And yes, you can make a directed energy weapon with a klystron or magnetron.
Not sure why you’d claim otherwise.
But I don’t doubt that a lot of groundwork has been laid for semiconductors, wasn’t doubting it all, not sure why you put that out there, unless it was to educate others on this thread? Don’t really care... I know semiconductor processes have been a evolutionary progression from those early days in Bell Labs. If we had alien technology, I’d expect we’d be much further along by now. I want my atocirc!
But my point still stands, you can build a microelectronics disrupting beam weapon with 40’s electronics, the theory and the practice was out there. The guy didn’t claim the US Army shot it out of the air with a laser. Read the article, he claims EMP. The weapon itself was very doable and was more than theory in the 40’s.
And remember, we had atomic shots at that point, and knew about severe EMP as well and its after effects, to some extent.
Finally, if you are working on the interesting stuff of SDI type devices, I sure hope you aren’t hoping for temporary disruption of CPUs. We can work around that in software, no problem. Disruption should be terminal for the devices involved if my taxpayer money is being thrown at the problem.
Col. French's Super Saber might have also had an ongoing oxygen system malfunction. Could explain his having "Senior Moments."
To be completely honest with you*, I was on duty when that 2d UFO landed in Hawaii in 1961, dropping off Baby Barack. Any documentation was burned up when it transited our atmosphere.
I just loves that phrase!
wasnt that just about the time that a certain occupant of the White House claims to have been hatched, er... born... somewhere ....or other?????
And to reply to my own reply, I wasn’t implying that I work on interesting weapons technology, just saying I work on digital electronics, all public sector stuff, manufactured in china. Joy!
Maybe he’s hiding his birth certificate because it is written in Ferengi?
Got himself zotted.

I always think of him when there is an ET thread.
I would always add “quick, call Quix”.
Was he really zotted?
Permanently? I always enjoyed his enthusiasm, controversial posts and his love of the Lord. Wow. Things have sure changed around here. :(
Ditto, Alex. A Roswell thread w/o Quix is unthinkable!
Ever looked at Roswell on Google earth?
Without the aid of computer flight stabilization technology, they were hard to fly.
The funny space alien stories were a hoax to keep the Soviets diverted from the true nature of the technology we snuck out of Germany after the war.
Today's stealth aircraft are a direct beneficiary to that German technology.
This thread requires the mandatory pic of the very tan-big hair UFO dude.
The shape of the Viking & Curiosity entry configurations has everything to do with aerodynamics and nothing to do with anything allegedly learned from any alien spacecraft allegedly recovered at Roswell.
Dementia can be ugly.
I bet it’s the same guy that told Harry Reid Romney didn’t pay taxes for ten years.
Presumably any alien-originated UFO would need to have the same type of aerodynamics to permeate our atmosphere as well, wouldn’t it?
I was just saying that it was interesting... Heck, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Roswell crash was some kind of a military test craft if the truth was ever really known.
