Shannon Eastin will become the first female to officiate an NFL game when she works the Green Bay at San Diego preseason match Thursday night.
The regular NFL officials have been locked out by the league.
Eastin is a college referee who has worked in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (FCS division).

Chicks with D*cks. This is an outrage!
I would not be surprised if she is the most knowledgeable of the replacements. Some of the women trying to break into a field in the past have really prepared. Of course, she could also be an affirmative action ref...
Women don’t grow up with football. By the time I was 12 I knew the difference between a counter-trey and a counter-gap.
Other than as eye candy, women don’t add anything to the game. Watching chicks on the sideline try to provide “analysis” reminds me every time of a liberal trying to provide “insight.”
This is just the latest degradation of what was a true Man’s sport (except for the Lingerie Bowl of course)
Why not! They’ve continued “chickifying” the sport; they’re forcing us to watch the players wear pink uniforms, hats, shoes, refs’ whistles, etc., to show support for the baby-killing Komen-Planned Predators; they’re complaining about things being too ruff on the field with the itty-bitty players; and on and on.
If anybody wants to watch real men play sports, watch Australian Rules Football . . . they wear shorts and t-shirts and no visible padding.
I tell ya’, it’s getting goofy with our coddled 20-year old millionaires.
What an odd comment.
Does the the Lingerie League have good-looking gal refs in lingerie? If they started using them for Browns games, I might start watching again!
“Watching chicks on the sideline try to provide analysis reminds me every time of a liberal trying to provide insight.”
- lol, I agree. I remember seeing one of them argue with an ex-NFL coach (forget who it was) about how a player should have been handled. ...you have to be kidding me.
Next time I see a pregnant woman I’ll reminder her of what the best way of giving birth is. </s>
It’s no worse than women at Nascar describing how the cars are built.
Ya know????? I don’t have anything against women. I am one. I have daughters. That said, ya know?????????? I would probably go thru the roof if my daughters were denied a role in sports such as this one....but I think they wouldn’t even try. I don’t think I can stand this crap anymore....but not to worry, Rush thinks it’s all over anyway.
Yes, folks, it’s another Obama Era first! So many Firsts since the Great One took office! So much Diversity and Inclusion! Aren’t you glad to be alive in the Obama Era?! </sarc>
Every now and then a ref on the field or sidelines gets seriously rolled by a player in a high impact encounter. Just sayin...
Translation... She wanted to be a man!
i.e. Women have no place on the playing field in the NFL. Go home, get out, and stay the hell off my tv screen! Its rough and tough and there's no place for women in it, FOOTBALL is a man's sport and just leave it at that! Political correctness be damned!
Is that less odd?
(Maybe we could get to see her roll a player to avoid such a collision someday... you canNOT argue with the "Ooh, COOL!" factor on THAT possibility!!)
As long as she is qualified, I really don’t a big issue here...
Are male refs required to have played the game to be a ref ?
My Ex fiance HATED seeing women on the sidelines doing interviews and analyses, and she is a serious football fan. This is gonna drive her bonkers! I think she just hated women in general unless they were REALLY beautiful and had good fashion sense.

“Every now and then a ref... gets seriously rolled by a player”.
My thoughts exactly. I hope she can take a hit. A hit by a professional football player... not me. No thanks!!
why? no men applied?
