What’s even easier is the NFL Suicide Contest. Quick and easy rules. You pick one NFL team to win that week, straight up. No point spread involved. If your team loses or ties, you’re out. If your team wins, you get to play next week and you can choose any NFL team EXCEPT the ones you have chosen during previous weeks. That means it gets a little harder to survive each week and there is some strategy involved on whether to try a lopsided match-up or pick something where a mediocre team happens to be playing a poor team under favorable conditions.

Typically, the game lasts through November and once even lasted into December.

You will have to set guidelines about deadlines for each week’s selection and what to do if a player changes their mind. Our group typically set the rule for 24 hours before that team’s kickoff and no changing the mind once the first game of the week has started (on Thursday night).

And somebody will need to track everybody’s lists of team’s selected. You’ll be amazed how many people bomb out the first week when a heavy favorite gets upset. It happens every year.

Thank you for taking this responsibility however I am suggesting you change the settings to do it by confidence points. I participated last year and it was lots of fun. I would think others in the group would love it if you could change it. I would think that you can before Wednesday.
