The above picture is what some gays/lesbians are calling on for dress on Fridays when going to Chick Fil-A
My question is whether businesses have the right to require a dress code, and also be allowed to expel patrons for lewd behavior.
There are Gay/Lesbian groups calling for boycotting/protests at Chick-Fil-A restaurants every Friday.
What rights do businesses have today?
Does this vary depending on the state?
Can very skimpy dress (bikinis, etc) be grounds for expelling people from the business?
What about behavior by adults that would be bad examples and considered lewd behavior in front of children.
There are a number of Facebook pages being put together over this issue.
How much power do the states have? How much has the liberal Federal Bureaucracy intruded into the private nature of businesses and the rights to keep behavior at businesses respectable?
The embedded pic failed.
Thank God.
‘Drive-through only’ would solve that problem.
I do not think the picture is too offensive, but this facebook page may be updated with more offensive pictures.
[warning, of sorts]
Perhaps other patrons should bring big signs with an arrow.
Above the arrow: “Queer right here.” The sign arrow can then be oriented to suit.
Yup, it’s politically incorrect. However, if they wish to offend, then we can also offend.
Sorry folks, that’s what it’s come down to.
Businesses (pieces of SACRED private property) SHOULD be able to engage in virtually any discrimination that they see fit.
“The moment the idea is introduced into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and there is not a force of law to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence.” John Adams or James Madison (I forget)
I all due respect most restaurants have a “no shirt, no shoes, no service rule” This is not their rule but that of the Health Department so it must be enforced.
I am also pretty sure that “no shirt, no shoes” replies to “no clothing”.
The guy certainly looks like he could use a new suit.
They want to make Friday a gay day at Chick-fil-A. Interesting, that supports Chick-fil-A. Bet they are so stupid that they don’t understand. Besides, CFA never said that they discriminate, so this should help business. Just saying
On another thread, I stated that the next step in this manufactured outrage will be a lot of phony discrimination suits against CFA. The left is furious that their pointing fingers and calling names has not cowed CFA into PC submission. Naturally they will turn to their friendly activists judges for comfort.
The board of health and local regulations, state laws would determine what a business with a “walk-in” setup might do.
Though zero reaction would quickly chill the protests. Calling cops, expelling customers is what the left wants, it’s how they advance.
There are always no loitering laws...
As long as they behave themselves, I see no reason why CFA would mind. Queer people’s money spends the same as everyone else’s.
If I stuff a fag in the dumpster, ya’ think they’ll kick me out?
I guess your point is that spreading disease is something Health Departments want to avoid.
I imagine that it is fair to say that many Gays and Lesbians have Sexually acquired diseases (AIDS, herpes, etc).
Suing someone because they say you have no balls, kind of proves the accuser’s point.
I questioned the wisdom of using it, but that something I saw on Facebook that made me start this thread.
Conservatives may need to help Chick-Fil-A out in this situation. Knowing how to help the restaurants might be something for Freepers to do...
Sounds to me like the sexual deviants (let there be no misunderstandings “gays”) in this country are about to begin engaging in hate crimes. Law enforcement are you listening?
Accidents involving buckets of ice water could happen. Oopsie!
