People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has started taking "bets" on its website over when Sen. Charles Grassley will die, after the Iowa Republican scolded the Department of Agriculture for advocating a vegetarian diet.
The USDA drew the ire of rural state lawmakers over a newsletter urging department employees to embrace "Meatless Mondays." The USDA later retracted the newsletter and said it wasn't properly vetted, but Grassley vented on Twitter that he plans to "eat more meat on Monday to compensate for stupid USDA recommendation."

Me too, Chuck. In fact, I think I’ll go to Chick-Fila every Monday and a good steakhouse every Friday. Screw the USDA.
“Poor Barack.If He’s Reelected,Think Of The Mess He’ll Inherit!”
LOL
Yes, and will he spend his second term the way he spent his first, blaming the guy who had the job for the last four years before him?

I also have a problem with ag-state Republicans in that they are also owned by big-ag. Food stamps is a PERFECT EXAMPLE. Big-ag loves them, as they fatten up people by having them eat more food than they should. ...and they get ag-state Republicans on board with the Democrats to keep that program strong and growing.
It is not the meat you think it is, nor is the pudding.
Although I wish I could I cannot claim credit for my tagline.I stole it from another Freeper (can't recall who) with his/her permission,of course.
I am an Ag State Republican. I strongly disagree with your statement. Do you live in an Ag State? Can you site any specific examples?
What??? Geeze...you've been watching too much porn!
As the old saying goes: If we’re not supposed to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat?
I'm a child of the Boston suburbs...lived here all my life. But in the last few years I've developed an enormous respect for farmers. That respect comes partially from two recent road trips I've taken...one the entire length of I-29 from Missouri, through the Dakotas and to the Canadian border. The other, just a month ago,was along I-80 through Nebraska and Iowa.I guess "awestruck" is the best way to describe my reaction to what I saw during these trips.
Remember, there are surprising few things that separate us from the lowliest of the Fourth World countries and the ability to feed ourselves...well...is one of them.
He will likely outlive all those bitter vegans. It is one of the most unhealthy diets you can choose.

Ask the veggies to go look in the mirror.
Where are the human eyes located?
A: In the front of the skull just like every other carnivore/omnivore.
Where are the eyes in herbivores located?
A: On the sides of the skull to look out for the carnivores.
If we were supposed to be grazing weeds God would have built us differently.
School abuse sometimes went beyond derision. Ask Ped State.
When I first heard of PETA, I asked my husband it he had heard of them and what PETA stood for. He replied “People Eating Tasty Animals” and for a while, I believed him. :-)
Our teeth are meant for eating veggies and meat - fruit, eggs, and fish too!! Sea scallop and shrimp kebobs on the menu for tonight!!
I’m betting Chuck outlives most of those pale, anemic, vegans.

Yes, and I don’t remember seeing news stories about Grassley liberating animals from shelters and then killing them and leaving them in dumpsters, like PETA.
