Most of the fights were with the neutered males..they knew enough to stay away from the breeder. It was fun watching them, it like you see mountain goats and sheep fight...They start nose to nose, each one backs up several steps, raises on their hind legs and heads for the other goat...a split second before they meet, there head goes down and you can hear the skull hit skull....they do that to protect their legs from getting broke... I had a young buck my husband didn't neuter break a goats leg in a fraction of a second while we were both in the barn talking....They jam the other goats leg between their horns and just twist their head and the goat goes down like its been shot...after seeing that hubby finally decided to neuter the bugger..We usually neutered at 3 months this buck was a yearling...

The females fight at times over position within the flock, but they are not quite as violent as the males...
