It’s awesome to think about isn’t it? Imagine if the inhabitants of a planet 65 million light years away could look at earth. They’d see a planet inhabited by dinosaurs. I read the Asimov piece you linked to. It was fascinating.

I seem to recall that everything on earth is moving in several directions at varying speeds, and that these total to something in the neighborhood of 500,000 miles per hour or second? If something were brought abruptly to an inertial stop (it's vectors of motion were all brought to zero), it would leave our presence at something like 500,000 MPH or MPS ... or, actually, we would leave it at that rate, for ‘it’ would be motionless relative to the rest of the universe in which it was moving prior to be stopped. But that was a good tale, Mr. Asimov ...

I first read that Asimov story, ‘The Billiard Ball’, back in the late ‘60s. It was in a book of Asimov short stories I got from the Science Fiction Book Club. Anyway, in the Forward to the book Asimov remarked that he originally wanted to title the story, ‘Dirty Pool’, but decided that would be too tacky. I think it would have been a perfect title.

Everything espoused by astronamers is based on a speculative evolved universe. They generally do not understand, “In the beginning God...”

And the media pushers who write this stuff are likely even worse.

One thing I believe...even with the ‘benefit’ of Hubble, we do not know where ‘we’, the earth, solar system and milky way are in God’s scheme of things.

Scientists make a living giving their opinion; there is nothing more. New galaxy that shouldn’t exist? “Oh, neat. That’s not supposed to exist. I bet it formed, uh, about, uh ten million years ago. Yeah.” They just throw out a number with further establishing the facts. Typical.

"We want to take pictures of this galaxy at other wavelengths," Shapley said. "That will tell us what type of stars are in every location in the galaxy. We want to map the mixture of stars and gas in BX442."

My bet is that it will contain mainly first generation stars, therefor ruling out most heavier element nucleosynthesis and thus anything more advanced than the "simplest" life forms. Yet, we know well by our own experience what even simple life can yet produce, even in a future there we are not yet able to see, even here.

How any of this though rules out an appreciation of God though, as noted by some on this thread, is what really leaves me mystified. I think God is flattered that we should show an interest in His universe and that we would want to know and understand as much as we may.
