A crazed beaver attacked two girls as they swam in a lake at a popular beauty spot leaving them with serious injuries. Eight-year-old Annabella Radnovich and her 11-year-old sister, Alyssa, were playing with their cousins at Lake Anna in Virginia's Spotsylvania County when the 65 pound animal bit and scratched their legs.

I was with a group of Cub Scouts who were menaced by a large sick-looking Beaver swimming in the Chesapeake Bay several year ago- luckily we got all the boys out of the water

the beaver continued to stalk them, lurking just offshore like a shark, following our group up and down the beach, until he finally gave up and paddled away

Never realized how BIG those critters can get, when he first swam up and bumped a kid we thought he was a Labrador retriever

Just guessing, but as hard as they work to build their dams and lay up food for the winter, I imagine beavers are pretty territorial.

How can they be 100% sure it is the same beaver that attacked the girls? Considering the serious implications, if they were my daughters they would be getting their rabies shots by now.

A kid in our church picked up a straight kitten and was bitten. Even though the parents caught what the kid thought was the right kitten, the doctors did not take any chances and he got his series of rabies shots. I know he will never ever pick another straight animal again. But the most important thing is that he lived to learn from his experience!
