The "Anger Management" star announced Monday that he will donate $1 million to the United Service Organizations (USO), which will go toward an entertainment facility for injured troops in Bethesda, Md. The donation will mark the largest single contribution from an individual in the organization's history.
"It's an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us, Sheen said of the donation. They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I'm just happy that my work on 'Anger Management' can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families."
The actor has pledged to donate 1 percent of the profits from his FX comedy "Anger Management" to the USO, with a guaranteed $1 million minimum. The first installment of $250,000 will be donated in a private ceremony next week.

” WINNING! “
I love Charlie...He’s not a hypocrite like all those other Hollyweird jerks..he knows their phoniness and calls them on it!
Great respect for a man who puts his money where his mouth is for our troops..like Gary Sinese. He should do the old Lefty Bill Gates routine and DARE the other cheap skates ..the “Staaars” to match his money!!!
Bravo, Mr. Sheen. Precious little consideration and attention is given to our troops.
I’m sure you’ll get a lot of heart-felt thank yous.
That’s what dudes with tiger’s blood do. Good for him.
Brad Pitt, Angelina, Babs....please pick up the white courtesy phone!
Wow. Well good for him. Nice move Charlie.
I think I’ll buy him a beer at the VFW post.
I agree. This is for our troops who have sacrificed for us stateside and the amount regardless shows a lot about Charlie Sheen. Even his family are all liberals but I will give him slack here.
“Brad Pitt, Angelina, Babs....please pick up the white courtesy phone!”
Angelina goes on private USO tours and I have seen her in 1 pic that did not make the rounds of the lib media a year ago where a wounded officer on a C130 was on a stretcher and Jolie had the biggest smile, while the injured officer was smiling with her.
While I don’t care for the public announcement of his charitable act, I applaud Charlie for supporting our troops.
Let’s not forget Denzel Washington and his quiet gift.

Kudos to Sheen but that show is not going to make that much money. I hope the USO get the whole million but I tend to doubt it.
With Charlie, you get what you get unlike most celebs. Good on him.
Good for him! He’s still a goober, but at least he supports the troops!
Yes, this is very good. And he’s a real jerk, so you know he is truly doing it out of the goodness of his heart, Sheen is not trying to score points with anybody.
Hey, if he was, he’d be giving the dough to Obama, or something.
See if he really gives the money after he sobers up or comes down....cardinal rule, only accept cash, not promises from drunks and junkies!
Hopefully the money gets to the men and women.
I smell marketing. Never trust a Hollywood professional.
Angelina has actually gone to afghanistan and spent time with the troops there. She put out a statement that was largely ignored to the effect of how great the troops were, and how they were trying to make Afghanistan a safer place.
I think Angelina’s dad has rubbed off on her a bit in the last few years....now she needs to knock some sense into Brad.
Remember, long before his meltdown and other antics, he did star in “Navy Seals”, which was intended to have the same effect on regular Navy recruitment that “Top Gun” did for Naval Aviation (it didn’t work, but at least they tried, and the movie wasn’t that bad IMHO: starring Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Rick Rossovich, as well as Sheen).
