How do you know it is Jesus, and not John the Baptist or the Angel Moroni?
Well, his head is still attached.
Let me put it this way, given the setting, the holy glow, and even the white garment, the resemblence is strikingly similar to how Our Lord has been historically rendered in art. I have no idea how the (fallen?) angel Moroni is presented.
