I saw a picture of this on my wife's Facebook page and thought it was BS. So I checked it out with a birds eye view of the island, via bing. WTF is wrong with this picture? Outside of everything that is good!

How is that a efficient design? My dad was a architect, and big into social engineering. I grew up with this crap. How is this efficient first? Architectural engineering is a long term statement. What moron approved the plans!?

It would have looked like that on the construction drawing plan layouts. The Architect designed it. The Navy approved it. I doubt the layout was all that hard to see. Before the NAZI's, it was a perfectly good symbol used in Asia. The NAZI's forever put an indelible stamp of horror on this symbol.
