"Walter Szulc Jr. got the surprise of his life when lifeguards and swimmers at a Cape Cod beach started yelling for the kayaker to return to shore. Thats when Szulc noticed that he was being trailed by a 12 to 14 foot great white shark."

It’s always a “Great White.” Never a Mako, a Bull Shark or even a relatively harmless Sand Tiger.
Ya, and it’s always 12 to 14 feet long.
Bet it was only 8 feet.
Really. In the political world we have its Bush's fault In the ocean we have, it's a Great White
If he’s a Mass Dem, why bother warning him? It’s not like he’d be missed...
...you're gonna need a bigger boat.
“You’re gonna need a bigger kayak”.
Bull sharks are the worst. Nasty, mean and blind. They bite anything they encounter, boats, motors, docks, kids playing in the surf. Plus, they do not mind fresh water. Pit bulls in the water.
I’m going to Cape Cod later this summer.
My daughter and her family got there Friday. They’re in Dennisport...a little west of shark point.
Are they swimming?
I lived on Cape Cod 1997-2001. I left some of my heart there. It’s a wonderful place, but it gets overrun with tourists from NYC in the summer, and it can get very boring in the off-season. I never saw any sharks.
Thanks
Well, when you get back to shore and everyone starts asking questions about the shark, you don’t want to be the guy who got freaked out by some little 7 foot reef shark. Of course, it was a giant, man-eating Great White, otherwise you would have stood your ground!
One of the Cape Cod newspaper’s headline for this today was “We’re gonna need a bigger boat”.
Ya, I know. Been scuba diving up & down the Atlantic coast as well as the Caribbean (17 years). Never seen a GW. Ran into some Bull Sharks off Playa del Carman, Mex. Turbid water, poor viz, surf zone. In short, they had all the advantages.
Friends did see a no-sh-t GW off Morehead City, NC. Got some gread video of the beast ‘playing’ with the orange float on the end of the trail line. Last pair of divers to re-board had the fear of God put in them.
