“Progressive” Insurance. The name matches the Big Brother tendencies.

George Soros owns Progressive and Geico. That’s all you need to know right there.

I have a patent-pending ankle bracelet for swimming in fast-moving streams or places with a strong tide. It allows you to quickly attach a boat anchor so you won’t be swept away. Several of our testers have been found right where they were last seen, so it works. I’m currently seeking investors if anyone is interested.

In 44 years of driving I've had one at fault accident (a minor one,42 years ago) and have *never* gotten a ticket for a moving violation...but have gotten my share of parking tickets. ;-)
Folks like me should pay rock bottom rates even without this gizmo.

I never trusted her.
I imagine it has some kind of accelerometer device that activates itself after a rapid start or stop.

Most dangerous situations I am seeing on the road these days involve vehicles moving forward while the driver’s head is turned away at a 90 degree angle, or drivers of moving vehicles with their heads down buried in food.
Flo’s little snapshot device ain’t gonna do nothing about either of those.

I like the idea .... it would simplify apprehension of car thieves before they crash or strip the car.

Definitely not good for people who work nights. It seems Progressive thinks only people who work 9-5, M-F are the only “good” drivers. The thing clicks up “bad” if you’re driving after midnight (according to the comments in the linked story).

I swear with some people an insurance company could ask for their first born male child and they would gladly comply and defend it as being reasonable. There are very few corporations I actually dislike and see as being corrupt and manipulative but Insurance Companies aren't given no where near the wrath from people they so richly deserve.
The literally dictate most of our Post WW2 laws on the books. They have a huge lobbying network and basically what they ask out of state and federal lawmakers they get. No Doubt that mandatory seat belt laws are amongst such laws they demand and get. Notice as well they have a way for getting Mandatory purchase of their product passed into law. I believe many insurers are quietly behind Obamacare ad have lobbied congress accordingly. They have the most to gain.

Progressive insurance is a leftist group with leftist corporate principles, which actually means no principles.
