Beach-goers in China wear nylon masks to beat the sun's rays
In a radical approach to protecting themselves from the sun, beach-goers in Qingdao, China's Shandong province don colourful nylon masks over their heads.
The mask, which was invented by a woman about seven years ago, is used to block the sun's rays.
The mask is under mass production and is on sale at local swimwear stores.
However, the masks are still rare on the beach, with more swimmers sticking with good old sunscreen.

The mask, which was invented by a woman about seven years ago... The author does not seem to have a clear concept of the term "invented". But going by all available evidence I suppose in Chinese the term "invented" is the same as "copied".

Thanks, I love beaches and the pictures seemed suspiciously perfect. I personally like just about any land/water interface that isn’t filled with garbage, so I’m sure I would have enjoyed it.
Must have been a great trip, I’d love to get a look inside China one day.
