Former FBI employee 'saw angels guarding Flight 93 site after deadly crash on 9/11'

A former FBI employee sent to the Flight 93 crash site on September 11, 2001 has claimed she saw a legion of angels guarding the scene when she arrived.

Lillie Leonardi has made the bizarre claims in a book written after she retired from the FBI due to post-traumatic stress disorder which began after the terror attacks.

In the book, she explained she arrived at the still-smouldering scene three hours after terrorists hijacked the passenger jet and it crashed into a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Leonardi, who was brought up as a devout Catholic but says she now practices 'spiritualism', was working as a liaison between law enforcement and the victims' families.

On her arrival, burning pine and jet fueled stung her nostrils and the entire site was eerily silent, she writes in In the Shadow of a Badge: A Spiritual Memoir.

She writes: 'The white mist then began to take shape. It moved and swirled in patterns of spectacular white light. 'All at once, the mist took full shape and I saw what appeared to be angels. There were angels standing in the open area to the left of the crash site...

“You don’t think she was looking then? And that’s good logic?”

No, jumping to that conclusion would again be bad logic.

Alright, let me walk you my thinking:

She says she didn’t see any bodies. Now, from that statement, the conclusion that “there were no bodies at the crash site” is only one possibly conclusion, not necessarily the most likely one, especially since we have other facts available. One of those other facts, which is very pertinent, is that quite a few human remains were eventually recovered from the crash site.

So, what are the possible conclusions we can draw from her statement, knowing that other fact?

1. She saw no bodies because there were no bodies at the crash site.
2. She saw no bodies because she wasn’t looking for them, or not looking very hard perhaps.
3. She saw no bodies because they were not easily visible or apparent at the crash site at the time she saw it.
4. She was just lying, or telling a tall tale.

Conclusion 1 is not compatible with both her statement, and the statement of the other people who inspected the crash site. So, for it to be true, she would have to be correct, and the later witnesses would have to be wrong or lying.

Conclusion 2 wouldn’t conflict with the later witnesses, but would be incongruous with her relating her detailed observations about the scene, so it would imply she is lying about that.

Conclusion 3 is not in conflict with either her statement or the statements of later witnesses, who only found all the remains after a long and painstaking search. In fact, her statement about it looking like the ground swallowed the plane up would seem to support this conclusion.

Conclusion 4 isn’t very reasonable, since she had at least one other witness with her who also stated they didn’t see any bodies laying around.

So, judging by those facts, #3 is the only conclusion I see that fits with with what we know, and the statements of all the witnesses.

No bodies there, no bodies at the pentagon. Hello?

300+ mph crashes of a hollow aluminum tube along with jet fuel tend to not leave much else BUT a crater... Don't be duped by dopey conspiracy tales.

I know people who witnessed the crash into the Pentagon...we have cell calls from people as they crashed. A lack of bodies in a high speed airplane crash is normal and to be expected. Doubting the authenticity of 9/11 events is to doubt rationality itself.

I’m skeptical because, after supposedly witnessing this phenomenon, she claims “post traumatic stress” to get on disablity, ventures off into the occult, and only tells the public about this experience when she is trying to sell a book.

None of those things fit with the usual behavior of people who have a genuine spiritual experience like this.

True or she might just be searching for an explanation to make sense in her mind. For some reason I believe her.

There's longstanding tradition that angels attend the death of saints. The bible itself says "precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" (Psalm 116:15) ("saints" meaning all Christians not just formally canonized saints).

Medieval Christians believed--on a person's death bed, angels and demons competed with each other to try to either inspire, or tempt, a dying person--to either escort their soul to Heaven, or drag them to Hell. Yes, this is scary stuff, but so is death.

Such an situation is hinted at even in the bible...with the reference to a dispute of the angel Michael and the devil over the body of Moses (Jude 1:9)

Certain near-death experiences in modern times have tended to correspond with such a view too...

As a Christian who does accept the biblical description of angels, I see no reason to doubt what she said she saw--even if she's now not a practicing Christian, as the bible never teaches that only devout Christians can ever perceive angels.

The idea of angels somehow "failing" as guardians too is just dumb--in that EVERYONE in the providence of God has a time to die.

That angels would be standing in rank, around a horrendous death scene immediately afterwards--doesn't contradict biblical and historical Christianity one bit...

I know people who witnessed the crash into the Pentagon

Did they film it? There are millions that still want to see it.
