BREAKING NEWS: Friend Says Andy Griffith Has Died
Former UNC President Bill Friday says Andy Griffith died this morning in Dare County. Friday, who is a close friend of the actor, confirmed that to WITN News.
Friday tells us the 86-year-old actor died at his Dare County home around 7:00 a.m. this morning.
Griffith attended UNC Chapel Hill where he earned a degree in Music. According to IMDb.com, Griffith was a regular on the Ed Sullivan show in the 1950's.
R.I.P. Sheriff Taylor
Maybe the flower gift costs will instead be sent to the Kenyan bastard’s re-election as donations.
I think he was manipulated by the disgusting AARP executives in his older age at a time when his mind was weak.

RIP!!!
One of the funniest shows I can remember watching when I was a little girl...Then I knew and could care less about who the president was..I just enjoyed watching his show..
A talented man and beloved due to his Mayberry character. What a disappointment, though, when he proved to be such a misguided liberal. This never quite made sense. He obviously was not like the common-sense Sheriff Andy in his real life.
RIP Andy and Goober. You were both well loved.
I still love the reruns and will watch them as long as the networks run them. I was raised in a small town in the 50’s and it was a wonderful experience and great memories. Mayberry will always hold a special place in my heart - a cmforting place. Rest in Peace Andy Taylor.
I return AAR’s letters to them (in chopped up form) in their own postage paid envelopes.
Somewhere down the line Andy , Ron, and Henry became devout Marxist/ commies and I refused to watch them upon learning of their loyalty to communism .
That is just how I feel: beloved characters played by another leftist.
I agree.

Postage-paid?
Next time, tape them to a brick, before dropping them in the mail.
Awww shucks... no more ObamaCare Communist Commercials.???
What does it matter what a dead 82yo man’s politics were? Why even bring it up?
That latrine scene where Griffin had all the lids
come to attention makes me laugh right now.Funny movie
Don Knotts was the one who made Mayberry funny
A half-hearted RIP to Andy...wish you had not been so left
he was another wwii era socialist exploiting the free system he inherited but bankrupting for our posterity. evil masquerading as good.
86yo
You need to watch the movie No Time For Sergeants. Way better than Mayberry!
I agree! Loved the bar scene with the lighter fluid in the drink!
“No time for sargents” will always be an all time classic too!
