I’m sure that they will praise the kid at his funeral and blame it on someone else. The parents will form a non-profit organization to educate the entire US on the dangers of firearms and try to deflect any criticism of their parenting skills. The guilt and blame will be redirected to the unidentified “them”.

Trayvon Martin's age. Any man who is about 30 or older can look back at himself and his friends at 17 and think, "I'm glad I made it, but looking back it certainly could have gone the other way." These kids didn't die at 17, they died of being 17. Some seventeen year olds just don't make it, as tragic as that is.
