Woa. We were a second apart on our last comments.
[I meant “let’s” not “lets” on my last comment. Duh]

Man, nobody is having a good week around here. And yes, Vision, I agree completely - a good sipping whiskey does things for one's perspective that would otherwise seem suspect in a mixed crowd. I prefer to think it lifts the veil of existential distortion and allows the mind's eye for focus on the issues at hand with crystal clarity.

Amen, Viking. We all need all the crystal clarity we can get!

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to pour myself another glass of grape-fermented clarity and take a Tramadol. I have a couple spots that feel like Zeus threw laser-guided thunderbolts at me from atop Mount Olympus. Hailstones the size of kumquats can
sting. LOL Too bad I don't have my old steel pot from the army - that skillet didn't do much good, and I probably looked silly as hell running around with it on my head, too.

I used to live in an apartment on the side of a mountain in B’ham that faced West. I saw a lot of nasty weather come East. Glad you are OK.

Dupont told us earlier along: better living through chemistry.
There it is!
Viking, you have a good week!

Lets pray for Dr. Scarpetta with her hurt shoulder and her husband who broke his leg. Thank you so much! We're hanging in there! Happy Fourth!
To: Dr. Scarpetta
I’m glad to know you’re okay, Doc! Thank you! Happy Fourth to you both!

We were going to do the mulch around the entire house next, but I convinced my husband we should hire someone to do it. First time ever...
He loves doing all that stuff, but it’s time to heal now.
BTW, the heat wave is going on and on. Just brutal...
I guess we’re just not used to it around here.
All these people without electricity in the NE must be in misery.
To: Dr. Scarpetta
I’ll bet he doesn’t like the thought of other people doing the mulch. But, like you said, he MUST heal!
I find it amazing that many of the poor folks in the NE are still without power. Bless their hearts! Even WITH air conditioning, it is hot as blue blazes!
